has anyone else tried q-tips for a wick? it seems to have all the qualities that i've been looking for in a wick
good taste, easy to make, easy to wrap a coil on, no leaks, wicks good, cheap, healthy, no metallic taste, and easy to replace.
i drilled out 1/8 inch hole in my aga t2 and cut the q-tip long enough to hit the bottom, wrapped the top of cotton part with the coil. It starts out a little loose but expands and fills the 1/8 inch hole nice.
I have tried ss mesh, fc2000 and q-tips. (4 wraps with 30awg kanthal 7 watts)
