I've just finished reading an article claiming that e-cigarettes are just as addictive as tobacco.
Article mentioned a new study published in the journal tobacco Control. The study finds that e-cigarettes, as well as low-tar “light” cigarettes, are just as addictive and habit-forming due to a common additive known as pyrazine, which appears to be in the sweet tasting flavoring.
If I understand this right, Pyrazine increases the pleasure of smoking by making e-liquid taste and smell better and less harsh.
What I find weird is that on none of the e-liquids I use (and I do use sweet tasting ones such as Muffin Man, etc.) I find this ingredient specific called out. It's always:
- 80% VG
- 20 % PG
- Natural & Artificial Flavoring

I think companies who make these e-liquids need to be really clear as to what type of natural and artificial flavoring is being added into what we vape.
Is it just me thinking that we should have more transparency?
