Hello and welcome to my latest review. This time I will be covering the Oxbar Magic Maze Pro disposables that were sent to me by Oxbar in order to provide you with a fair and honest review. The MMP(Magic Maze Pro) is the first ever adjustable wattage disposable device. It has a rated capacity of 10,000 puffs while using a 900mah internal rechargeable battery combined with a 1.0 ohm mesh coil. The liquid capacity is large in order to deliver this astounding amount of puffs and the nicotine concentration is 5%(50mg) of nicotine salts. All of this combined with adjustable airflow and adjustable wattage of 11-15 watts. That’s not all, there is also a display that shows the remaining liquid and battery percentages.
WHAT’S IN THE BOX?
1EA MAGIC MAZE PRO DISPOSABLE device
1EA LANYARD
As you can see in the picture above, each of the MMP’s comes sealed in a plastic and foil pouch to keep out any contaminants. Also packaged with each unit is a nice Oxbar lanyard if that’s something that you like. I personally don’t care for lanyards but it is nice of them to include one in each package. I have to share what I received for the review. I was thoroughly impressed with the promotional box that I received for my review. Not only was the box very nice but inside were also a t-shirt and a necklace with the Oxbar name. I didn’t realize it at first but there was also a sheet of stickers included that could be used to decorate the back side of the MMP since the back doesn’t have any writing printed on it.
SPECIFICATIONS:
FEATURES:
OXBAR Magic Maze 10K Disposable Features:
• Battery Capacity: 900mAh
• Max Puffs: 10000
• Nicotine Strength: 5% (50mg)
• Operation: Draw-Activated
• Heating Element: 1.0ohm Mesh Coil
• Charging: Type-C Port
• Adjustable Airflow
• Battery / E-Liquid Display Screen
The box for the MMP is rather colorful and easily grabs your attention. There is a color picture on the front and depending on which one you bought it might say Pod Juice on it. I guess that is a commercial brand of eliquid but I have not bought commercial liquid in years so am not familiar with many brands. I mix all of my own liquids. There is of course the usual large warning on the front and back which is required for U.S. marketing.
Each unit comes with a rubber plug in the mouthpiece and a sticker covering the bottom of the unit to prevent any airflow or accidental firing during transit. When I have a few different ones to try like I did with these five, I like to save the rubber mouthpiece plugs to re-insert them while switching back and forth between different flavors.
Once the sticker is removed from the bottom then you can see the adjustable airflow control and the USB-C charging port for the 900mah battery. The airflow adjuster on these is probably the best airflow adjuster out of any disposable that I have tested. It works well and you can tell the difference with each little movement of the slider. I was impressed with how well it worked. I didn’t see in the specifications where it said what the charging rate was.
I have reviewed one other type of disposables that had a display screen that had a display that showed the remaining liquid and battery percentages but this is the first on the market as far as I know that has a small button below the display that allows the user to adjust the output between 11 and 15 watts in one watt increments.
The top of the MMP has not only the comfortable to use mouthpiece but also has a round shape with a loop on top that reminds me of the top battery cap on a mod but of course it’s not that. It’s where you attach the lanyard if you choose to use it.
FINAL THOUGHTS:
It’s really been a pleasure testing the Magic Maze Pro samples that I received. These all had some menthol in them which is a constant complaint of mine but the level of menthol in them is much lighter than I have experienced in most other disposables. With most of the ones I have tested, the menthol is strong enough that it hurts my throat if I take more than a few puffs at a time. This was not the case with the Magic Maze Pro samples. There is menthol in them but it’s not offensive at all. I would however prefer some with no menthol at all. Some of the flavors are really good on their own and don’t need the cooling effect.
I honestly couldn’t tell you if each one actually lasts for 10k puffs since there’s no puff counter and it would take me forever to try to keep count and try to record 10k puffs. I however wouldn’t be surprised if they did last that long. As I mentioned earlier, the airflow adjustment on the Pro is probably the best out of any disposable that I’ve used. I also very much like the adjustable output using the button located under the display. You press the button once and it shows you the wattage setting and while it’s displayed you just press the button again to adjust the wattage in one watt increments from 11 to 15 watts. Not only due to the features but also the flavors, these have been my favorite disposables that I’ve ever used. I’ll give a brief description of each flavor now to try to give you an idea of which ones I received that you might like.
FRUITY PEBZ(POD JUICE)
I haven’t had the cereal since I was a kid. I get the fruit flavors which are sweet and I get a milk taste in the background. There’s a cooling effect to it which seems unnecessary to me but isn’t too strong.
PINKBURST CHEW(POD JUICE)
This one really tastes like a pink starburst candy to me. It’s sweet but not too much. I get a little flavor when first taking it into my mouth but then on the inhale the flavor really pops. I definitely feel like the cooling agent could have been left out of this one since the candy doesn’t have it.
SPLASH BROS LEMONADE
This one is a fairly sweet lemonade with just a tiny bit of tartness. It of course has a cooling agent but it’s not too strong. I personally would prefer more tartness and less sweet. I missed it at first but think I taste a honey flavor also.
RAINBOW BLAST
The first thing I thought of on the first puff was that it tasted like skittles candy. This one has a little stronger menthol than the first three I tried. I think the flavor is good enough to stand on its own without the stronger menthol.
BLUE RAZZ
This one is a pretty sweet candy like blue raspberry flavor. I really get the raspberry flavor very well in this one and better than most other blue razz disposables that I’ve tried. At first the cooling agent was almost undetectable in this one. There is some menthol but the flavors over power it to the point where it is barely noticeable. I very much like this one and it is in my top two out of the five.
I was very pleasantly surprised by all five of the Magic Maze Pro samples that I received for this review. I honestly enjoyed them all. The Blue Razz was my favorite and probably the least favorite was the Lemonade simply because I like lemonade flavors that are more tart and less sweet but this one is still decent. Just a little too sweet for me.
I’d like to thank Oxbar and Lina for sending this very nice promotional box with five samples and a t-shirt and necklace. I’m not big on jewelry but appreciate the thought. As always, thanks to the readers that take the time to read my reviews. Below is a link to the website if you’d like to see all of the different options that Oxbar has to offer.
