    Somewhere between here and there
Hello and welcome back. Today I’m here with you to talk about the new Oxbar x Pod juice Magic Maze 2.0 30K Disposable. This is the second version of the Magic Maze which I very much enjoyed testing on a previous review. The original Magic Maze Pro had a 10,000 puff rating while the new 2.0 has a rating of 30,000 puffs. However, that is while using it with standard output but once you go into boost mode then it is reduced to 15,000 puffs which is still a long life cycle. The Pod juice versions of the original were my favorite so I was excited to see that all four of the samples that I received were the Pod Juice versions.

Besides the impressive 30K puff rating, the liquid contained inside is 50mg nic salt. The 2.0 has an internal 900mah internal battery and has a display screen that shows not only the battery level but also the liquid level. It is an auto draw only device but does have a button that allows the user to adjust the output from 12-28 watts. It also has adjustable airflow and an LED light bar that illuminates when taking a puff. Sounds pretty good right? I’ll be honest and say that I’m not a regular user of disposables but out of all of the ones that I’ve tested for reviews, the Oxbar line has truly been my favorite. They are full featured and by partnering with Pod Juice, they have some real winners as far as I’m concerned.

    INITIAL THOUGHTS:

The packaging for Magic Maze 2.0 is pretty much what you would expect from Oxbar. The front of the box has a nice colorful picture of the actual device contained inside. The Oxbar and Pod Juice names are up front with a list of some of the features below that. I like how Oxbar is up front about how the 30K puff rating is reduced to 15k if the device is used in boost mode. There is a large warning on the front and back of the box which is required for marketing in the U.S. from what I understand. The back side of the box even states that these are for sale in the U.S. only. There is an ingredients list on the back which is the only place I saw where the nicotine concentration is listed at 5% which equates to 50mg per milliliter. The back also has a specification section which informs us that the liquid capacity is 13ml, there is a 900mah battery, a long lasting Unione coil is used, and that there is over charge and short circuit protection.

The Magic Maze 2.0 line is based on the Zodiac signs. Each one has a different flavor with a different Zodiac sign assigned to it. Oxbar was nice enough to provide four different samples for my review. I received the Jewel Mint(Taurus), Blue Razz(Gemini), Strawberry Watermelon Dragon Fruit(Aries), and Sour Apple Skitz(Scorpio).

Each of the Magic Maze 2.0 devices comes in a sealed foil pouch. Once opened there is a rubber plug in the mouthpiece and a sticker covering the airflow control on the bottom that need to be removed before using. There is also a clear plastic cover over the display screen on one end. You can also see in the picture below that the USB-C charging port is located on the bottom as well as the sliding airflow control.

One side of the 2.0 has the Oxbar and Pod Juice printed on it as well as Zodiac Edition. On the right side is the Magic Maze 2 name but there is also an LED light bar that illuminates when a puff is taken.

The opposite side has the Zodiac sign name and star constellation on it. I like how the color fade was done on these. One end of the 2.0 has the name of the flavor printed on it.

Now on to the star of the show, the color display. The display is eye catching and illuminates with each puff. At the top is the wattage adjustment button. The 2.0 is auto draw only so the button does not fire the device. It just changes the wattage and can be used to lock the device if you press and hold the button. Once locked, it cannot be fired. Although the box says 12-28 watts, the available wattages are 12, 14,16,24,26, and 28 watts. Once you go past 16 watts then it goes to Boost Mode which reduces the number of puffs available. The display shows the remaining battery and liquid levels as well as the set wattage. Once you go to 24 and higher then the Boost is illuminated on the screen. As I mentioned, once you lock the device then a lock symbol will appear on the screen. To me this is a very impressive display and operation system for a disposable device.

    FINAL THOUGHTS:

I believe this is the third disposable review that I have done for Oxbar and the Oxbar line of disposables have by far been the best disposables that I have tested. Since they started partnering with Pod Juice it has been the icing on the cake. I very much enjoyed the flavors of the samples that I received for the review. The Unione coil in each of the devices performs very well and does a nice job of bringing optimal flavor production of each liquid contained inside. If you’ve read any of my other reviews on disposables, a constant complaint of mine is disposables often have way too much menthol or cooling agent for my tastes. The Pod Juice flavors do have some menthol but it’s not overpowering and for the most part compliments the flavors instead of over shadowing the flavors as I have experienced with some other brands of disposables.

I’m not always the best at describing flavors but have done my best to write a brief description of each of the samples that I received so you could get a basic idea of each one.

JEWEL MINT: A really nice and refreshing sweet mint flavor with mid-range cooling agent. I really like this one and found it best at 16 watts.

BLUE RAZZ: It’s a sweet blue raspberry with just the right amount of menthol so it’s not overpowering and compliments the main flavor profile. This one was one of two favorites out of the four.

STRAWBERRY WATERMELON DRAGONFRUIT: Another really great flavor. I get mostly the watermelon up front with the strawberry in the background. The dragon fruit compliments the flavor profile without being extra noticeable. The menthol is light and has just the right amount.

SOUR APPLE SKITZ: It’s a little tart but not really sour to me. The apple flavor is a little light for my taste and sweet. The menthol on this one isn’t strong but I feel like it really doesn’t compliment the apple flavor and perhaps the apple would be better without it.

I really don’t have any complaints on the Magic Maze 2.0. It does everything that is promised and the Pod Juice flavors are very good. I feel like Oxbar did a really nice job on these. I love being able to set the wattage as well as being able to adjust the airflow. With the 50mg strength of the liquids, I found that I preferred the wattage set at 16 watts for each one which will also help to keep the puff count high.

I’d like to thank Oxbar and Rothko for sending the Magic Maze 2.0 x Pod Juice disposables for this review. It truly has been a pleasure. I’d like to tfshank the readers as well for checking out my latest review. Below is a link to the website for your viewing pleasure.
