Ohhh, getting to the madding phase then. "close to perfection", well, it's why I sometimes believe I'm a bit mad...

(I was at a family reunion and my cousin, whom I helped her with switching to vaping, and she asked what I was vaping because the vapor smelled good. I told her it was a failed experiment that I was trying to figure out what was wrong with it. She tries it and gives me an odd look, "That's great! How can you be so daft... to be calling it failed." All the other vaping family members tried it and agreed with her. Now I'm not sure if I was right, or they were...she didn't use the word daft, but it is the best translation for the actual word in a G to PG environment.)

Of course it is all subjective when it comes to this stuff. But I am proud to say I have tried my Nutty Banana, Nanaberry, Minty Methol, and Tropical Breeze and I love them all. Also, several others have said they like the Nutty Banana, and a few people have asked to sample my Signature Tobacco. I am glad I am able to make people happy. I have gotten the mad scientist comment before as well. Heh. I still say we need to make "The Hoosier Effect" a part of the vaping lexicon.

Is that drinkin', fightin', racin', and basketball?
Hah!

No, "The Hooser Effect" is the scientific name (heh) to describe what you first pointed out to me. The paradoxical pheonomena whereby overflavoring of DIY juice leads to the total loss of flavor.

I've confirmed "Hoosier's Law" too.

The problem has exponential properties. Once you've "overshot" you will "overshoot" in multiples because your taste buds are fried.

Plus there is another recurring taste bud thing of recipes I keep repeating. Even the handful I make all the time taste stronger sometimes than others due to some sort of natural cycle my taste receptors go through?

I keep meaning to go "no flavor" for a day or week and see how my recipes taste after that but I've never gone "no flavor."

The sense of taste cycle slooooowly gets better. It hasn't stopped for me, but the doldrums are shorter and more spaced out now.

Now that you mention it I have noticed that. Seems like it used to be every couple of weeks I would have a day (or 3) where I was hardly tasting my juices but now it seems like it doesn't happen that often (perhaps every 2nd Month or something?)

Thanks,

Norman
