As there are no recipes in this thread, moved to DIY E-Liquid.

Unfortunately my recipes are not in a format which can be posted on any forum. They are not in a plain text file but are stored on recipe websites. Links to them are the most practical means for sharing them due to the large number of them. Can you tell me why a link to a recipe sharing website and online calculator for DIY'ers was banned? I do not understand this move.

Threads must contain a recipe in order to be listed in Recipes. Sending people elsewhere defeats the entire purpose of the recipe forum. As for staff actions and reasons behind them, sorry, that's privileged information that is not shared with the general membership.

I understand the reasoning and the insecurity regarding a loss of traffic on the recipe forums. But I must speak frankly, that in my opinion, given the size of ECF with nearly 1/4 of a million members and tens of millions of messages on its forums, the fear of the DIY recipe forum becoming a ghost town because of a link to my recipes on an external website is unwarranted. If this does defeat the purpose as you stated, then why still allow links to my recipes on ecigvape(dot)com (a site which contains over 2,600 public recipes)?

Furthermore, these websites feature some of the best available online DIY calculators, which are important tools to help people who are making their own eliquid. As far as I know, ECF does not have an integrated calculator, so preventing access from within the forum to these important tools, I believe is a detriment for ECF members who, having found a recipe or an idea for a recipe here, cannot quickly jump to a calculator to adapt or change a recipe to suit their own needs.

I have always had respect for the moderators here, but I have genuine concerns about this particular action as it concerns both ECF members and DIY'ers. My last posted public recipe will be # 200. After that there will be no further recipe link posts or updates by me in this thread.

I do not know for certain. I did however, notice, that his/her status seems to have changed to "Moved On". This wording is very interesting, because it is rather ambiguous, but I have noticed this status on the profiles of former members who indicated they had been removed or banned from ECF.

As for me, I'm not into ecigs for the money and have always insisted my recipes be freely and publicly available. There is no profit motive in my sharing of these recipes. I am not an employee of any flavor manufacturer nor do I sell any type of ecig or juice.I am retired, so I have plenty of time to work on recipes and share recipes, and will always do so.

For me, it has been, and always will be, about helping people quit smoking. Sometimes though, I think this is something we as a community, forget sometimes, but in my opinion everything else is trivial, trifle, and/or petty. Nothing is more important than a human life. This truth is more important than any organization or forum, no matter how large it may be,
