Hi,

A friend of mine has quit smoking using the miniciggy from miniciggy.com. He has now given this to me so I can at least attempt to cut down on the amount of analogue cigs I smoke. Having a 2 year old i'm very conscious of the affect me smoking might have on her.

So my questions.

1) Has anyone tried the miniciggy?
2) Do I have to buy the cartridges from miniciggy.com or are there others that will fit it?
3) How long does it take to get used to the weight and new style of 'smoking'?

Looking forward to chatting to you all and learning as I take this step into the e-cig world :)

There are two models of miniciggy, according to their site there is a new and old style. The old style was identifed as a 901 I have not been able to identify the new model, if you could post some pictures of it, disassembled showing both ends of the connections would be very helpful.

Your cartridges/cartomizers should be easy to refill and there are thousands of juice flavors available form out forum suppliers at different nicotine levels.

If it is a 2-piece ecig them the cartomizers (all-in-one cartridge and atomizer) have limited reuse since their performance will degrade. But it is usually possibly to reuse them if you don't run them dry and singe them.

If it's a 3-piece then the cartridge can be reused many times, cleans, stuffing replaced, etc. In this case the separate atomizer is the piece that might degrade or stop working.

Collie2011 - welcome to the forum.

You have a great chance to quit smoking all together with the mini=cig that your freind is sending you.

How many do you smoke a day ? If you don't mind me asking.

I went the first two weeks of quitting with a "health e cig". I have since moved on to a much easier, to use , and more powerful (battery wise) e cig. I've now gone 5 weeks + without smoking .

This from a man that has tried and failed sooooooo many times.

The carts on a minicig can be refilled. It's a little fiddly. But sometimes that becomes part of the distraction from analog cigarettes. The reward is getting it filled, and vaping it, and letting that cool calm feeling wash over you. Good thing about upgrading is the extended battery life. But you gotta see if you think it will work for you first i suppose.

Please keep us posted.

Hi guys and thanks for the welcome. I smoke 15-20 hand rolled cigs a day, Used to smoke normal cigs but they got far too expensive and then benson and hedges brought out rolling tobacco so i switched to that. I saw the health e-cig on amazon and did consider it just to try as it was so cheap but then my friend offered me this one for free. I'm thinking I will see how I go with this free one and then upgrade to a better one if I like it. I've seen a nice pink one here: TECC Pink Mini Starter Kit

Yeah that looks pretty cool apart from the colour but then i am a bloke....lol. Only one battery though. Far be it from me to tell you what to do but i suggest you could do a little better than that. At first battery life doesn't really matter so much because it's all new. But soon into vaping i think you'll wish that you'd got a model with two batteries or longer lasting batteries. I'm only trying to give you some "heads up" info that i wish i'd been privvy to at the beginning. Chrissie who posted just now is something of an expert with a lot of knowledge and a helpful nature.

Yeah you can get them....The riva510 comes in pink. Its a little bulky compared to the pink one you posted a link too. But i think it's a way better aid to acheive "smoke freedom". Great that your mr. is up for it too. Wow this really could be the start of future freedom from the bind of cigarettes. I will stake my reputation (i do have one ....honest) on the fact that you will both thouroughly enjoy your new venture into the world of vaping. I'm kinda excited for you both cos i know it works.

Come on Mr get your money out....lol

Collie, if you are going to upgrade, go for the Riva - much better battery life than a super-mini or mini. Plus you can use LR (Lower Resistance) atomisers with it to get a better thraot hit & more vapour.

You can get it in Pink from Liberty Flights - use discount code ECR69 for 15% off.
