I picked up several of the Kanger T2 V2 clearomizers the other day. I like the flavor out of them but I am having issues with voltage. I got the 2.4-2.6ohm heads and have tried different juices from 80pg/20vg to 40pg/60vg and I get burnt flavor at anything above 3.5v. I have to run them at 3.4v which tastes nice but has no TH and very little vapor. I tried these on an eGo twist and a Starfire v2 ltube and get the same thing. Even my two old eGo 350mah knockoffs are too much for them. I have boiled the wicks, soaked them in PGA so i am sure they are clean.

This just should not be happening at such low wattage from everything I know. Wondering if it might be a wicking issue?

Any one played with these and have some tips or had a similar experience with another piece of equipment that might give me some ideas to try? Really want to get these to work right. Have read and seen reviews of them vaping away at 4.0-45v without issue but all 4 of mine have the same issue. The heads all meter out between 2.5-2.7ohms.

FWIW Having no issues at all with my Vivi Nova 2.4 head and they look very similar inside.

I am experiencing the EXACT same thing!! I ordered 4 T2's AND 4 packs of replaceable coils @ 2.5 ohm. The T2's came with 1.8 ohm -- I left one at 1.8 ohm and changed the other to 2.5 ohm. I tried them both out on batts that were NOT freshly charged (an eGo 750 & a Smokeless Image X2 650) and they both did fine. I tried them again on freshly charged batts ... And while the 1.8 ohm did a little better (only slightly muted flavor) the T2 with the 2.5 ohm did DREADFUL!!! NO FLAVOR of my juice, but rather a burnt weird taste!!! It did the same on both batts! A tad bit better on the SI batt which I think is a 3.6-3.7 regulated. The eGo off a fresh charge is 4.2 and unregulated. WHY would this be??? I thought the higher ohm's were for higher voltage vaping (???) This makes no sense! AND I LOVE these things!!! 2.4 ml capacity & easy to use!! I don't think I can live with what it's doing to my favorite ejuice flavor though!! UGH!!! I hope we get somebody who can help! Maybe I'll just have to go to the 1.8 ohm coils & not have as good battery life. They also come in 2.2 ohm -- wonder if that would make a difference??

Well, I changed the coil outta of the one I put the 2.5 ohm replacement head in ... Tried it on freshly charged batt and still burnt taste with the new 1.8 ohm! Maybe even worse!! Switched back again ... Changed juice ... Still burnt/no flavor vaping!!! BUT as the batt drains/diminishes the flavor improves as does getting the burnt taste!! I don't have a VV, but when I read you couldn't go above 3.5 that's about what I figure my batt has drained to. They gave a great flavor & absolutely no burnt taste during a short period before my batt dies!! Very WEIRD!!

That actually makes sense that they would work better on a low battery. Less voltage running through the coil. I get the same thing on my standard ego batts.

Well after 4 days and trying about 20 different juices in these my conclusion is they just can not handle the voltage. Maybe it's the wire used or the wick? Great flavor at low voltage but no TH and low vapor. That works ok for some of my fruity flavors but definitely not going to work as a full blown replacement for cartomizers. I tried adding a 1" pure cotton wick across the top of the coil, didn't hurt or help any at all.

I might try some of the 2.7-3.0 heads when they become more widely available but doubt that .3 ohms will make enough difference. The search continues.

I thought so too, thus the initial question but I have tried mine with PG/VG: 40/60, 50/50, 70/30 and 80/20. Doesn't seem to make a difference. I still really like the T2's for my fruit/desert flavors at the lower voltage because the flavor is so good that I don't miss the vapor and TH all that much. Would just be nice to have it all!

You gotta hit 'em like you mean it! The Kanger T2 has that coil hanging out in the air on a very short wick. The only thing keeping it cool, and from burning the juice, is juice, and lots of it, and air. Don't hit these like you need 10 seconds to get a mouthful. Suck harder. These things have a very easy draw for a reason; and, they have no ceramic cup or anything around the coil to sink the heat away. That's why they can give a very good hit, but used outside of their boundaries, things can get very nasty.

Did you try making a bit of a slit in the silicone cover to allow more juice to the coil, or raising it some ? Sometimes this may help this issue. Sometimes I have just taken the silicone cover off all together to get this style of carto to wick better. Just some thoughts on this wicking thing.

Well, whaddaya know! That worked for me! I've been having nothing but problems trying to like these things, the head on mine reads 2.8 on my Provari, and I eventually turned it down to practically nothing today at around 3.3 I think before I no longer got a burnt tasting vape, only trouble with that, there was no nice warm vape that I love, and really very little vapor. As soon as I read your post, I dug it back out and put it back on, cranked it up to a "whopping" 4.2 (lol) and took a really strong short vape, and it didn't taste burned at all. My T2 thanks you for saving it from the hefty bag. (for now....)

I've tried laying a short piece of dead wick above the coil and slotting the silicone cap, and it wicks good, but the T2 still needs air. I've wound a couple of SS mesh wicks and put in them, same thing would still occur. It just seems to me like any heat generated is hanging around in a small area, and the working boundaries are small. These things don't really have too much of a wicking problem if you stay within their boundaries. I use the 2 ohm coils and they work great on either an ego or on my Varistack when set at its lowest setting (the batteries last all day this low). To me, hitting the T2 as hard as it needs to be hit puts it more on the level of how you used to hit a cigarette. And, with my 50/50 mix, they make great vapor and give a pretty good TH (I still vape 18-20 mg, so that helps TH some).

I have only experienced (in my limited time) a burnt taste if I go over 4.2 volts on my Twist. I have noticed though that if i cover one of the air holes I get a much better TH than if I leave them both open. I'm not sure what resistance mine are though...but they feel VERY airy and easy to draw on.

I read another great suggestion that I tried and it works even better for me than the short hard vape-- I pulled up the silicone sleeve--actually I pulled it off altogether, then when I pushed it back on, I only pushed it down until just the very top of the center tube was level with the silicone sleeve. Now there is plenty of juice getting to the wick/coil, I can take my long slow vapes again and am getting full flavor with no burned taste. Thank goodness for these forums and discussions, or I'd have so much gear tossed in the trash!

All of mine have been leaking down onto the battery. Yes...I have followed all of the tightening regimen and bought the "new style" tips, but they still leaked. By accident I found that sliding the silicone sleeve up even with the top of the tube gave a better seal and I have my fingers crossed that this will solve the problem. Next problem is that the silicone sleeves get stretched and tear very easily from moving them up and down. Is there a source where you can buy a handful of the silicone sleeves?
