to be fair, cell phones arent trying to pull 10A or more from their batteries!!
Have you ever been in a crappy signal area or indoors where your phone barely picks up the cell tower, especially with 4G LTE phones that cannot pick up a 4G tower? My office building blocks almost all cell signals unless you are right by the window, so my cell phone will flip in between 0 bars to 1 bar of 1G signal. The phone will constantly fire up the radio to try to find a signal to latch onto and the battery level on my 3220 mah battery can drop from 90 percent to 20 percent in under 2 hours and the temp of the phone will rise to over 100 degrees.

That sucks.. I have the same signal problem but I never see that kind of power drain....

I've had my evic vt for a week now. It has not dropped out of TC. That said Phil is right, it should never drop out. It should be impossible to inadvertently drop out. The results of it doing so would be unpleasant in the least.

I'm using the subtank w/stock ni200 kanger heads, and the mega w/ Ti. (He's also right about the juice ports)

Had an issue with the Kanger subtank mini rba recently where the ohms reading was jumping a full ohm. Turned out the center pin in the base was loose enough to allow that to happen. I dont know it a mod in temp mode would switch to watt mode if that happened or just stop firing. I would believe the latter but Evic does automatically detect from what I understand.

I telecommute, so if I have to go into the office, I either turn off my phone or put it into airplane mode when I go into the building.

Hi guys

If someone from the EU wants a VT express kit for 67.50€, I know where to get them... Right here in Portugal lol.

The store where I ordered my full kit (85€, 5€ more than the other store that sold them all under 24h) just received the express kits.

2SMOK - Cigarros Electrónicos | JOYETECH EVIC VT BATTERY KIT

Just tell them, Tony would like to have a discount next time lol.

About the dna screen glitches and EMF... Why don't the clones glitch then?

Tonight I'm going to do a Frankenstein transplant ie, my original dna screen is dead. I have a clone (30D) lying around here so I will try to make the clone screen work with the original board. If it actually works and regarding Mr. G's. statement that the dna 40 screen glitch is actually a hardware problem within the screen, this might indeed be the actual and definitive screen glitch fix... Using a clone screen on the original board [emoji14]

Right now I wish I had a glitched dna 40 to test this theory lol.

Regards
Tony

Sent from my keyboard through my phone or something like that.

To you guys talking about the K4 in TC mode: besides my Erlk, my K4 is the most stable tank I own. When I first got it the resistance would wonder around a bit, but for some reason it doesn't do that at all now. Maybe the spring and surfaces it rubs against have conformed to each other? (It is 6 months old now) I don't know, but it's rock solid on every TC device I've screwed it on.

EDIT: I would not recommend a K4 for TC applications, I'm just pointing out that some peeps have had good results. (If mine didn't cost $192 I would've given up on it in week two!!)

So a new gremlin has arisen....
Tried to fire it today, and the whole thing shut down on me... Only way it would turn back on was to plug it into the wall adapter. It's now doing this on my sub tank mini every time (coil in STM is fine, works on the invader with no issues). I think I've located the problem to the 510 pin, seems that its shorting out there when the spring loaded pin gets pushed in by the STM. Ironically, the evic now seems to prefer my v1 sub tank, which it wouldn't play well with till now
Sent with one hand, the other is busy vaping.

I'm actually wondering if the spring-loaded 510 doesn't cause the resistance differences we're seeing. I haven't seen anyone disassemble one yet. Is the hot lead soldered directly to the pin? Is the spring part of the circuit? Chinese mods, with the exception of the SXminis, are not known for their high quality, spring-loaded 510s.

Oh yeah I forgot you got that!

Haven't seen any screen glitch - though I've been vaping/firing mostly Titanium and it was Rossum's opinion that it's possibly less prevalent with higher resistance builds, because of lower amps causing less EMI. But DrG also said it was supposed to be fixed completely on the small screen, and the HB40 has one of the latest, if not the latest, small screen DNA40 revision - at least it has atty lock anyway. Hard to tell with DNA 40s because they resolutely refused to even acknowledge new updates, let alone provide anything helpful like a version number! :)

And yeah you're right £37 would give a great re-sell price! Hmm... there's a thought :)

But it's much dearer with UK plug? That sucks. If you did buy to re-sell just buy whatever the cheapest plug is and then get a job lot of 1A UK plug chargers for £2 each or whatever. Mine came with EU plug, and I have an adaptor somewhere - not that I plan to use it, besides for a quick test to put in my review, should I ever do one.
Speaking of which, not a single hiccup on glitching so I think thats more or less the large screens? If yours does atty lock then your small screen should be up to speed. My complaint these days is its softer on the watts compared to an rDNA or mini VF.

Still sitting here waiting on my VT....hnnnnnn... Ah oh well....

The 510 appears to be set up the same as the istick50w.

We did have a couple issues with the spring load. Some temporary. Usually working the pin a little resolved it. Bike thought there may have been a small metal shaving in his that cropped up. Working the pin released it.

The 510 pin is sitting directly on the upper board. The spring design can be seen on eleafworlds site.

As I've mentioned in other threads - I suspect this is one reason (not for temp control, but for shorting out) is why the Kanger Subox doesn't have one. There were some comments early on, on the facebook page where a 'Kangertech' guy intimated that's what he thought the engineers took into consideration, but someone mentioned that they now will be adding a spring loaded pin to it. :D

I just put in the Ni coil for the VT today (with the eGo One mega tank) - so far, so good.
