I have a feelin, it's gonna be 2 Jacs.Am I right?
The Postman Always Rings ... JAX!
Yes, I got mine just now! Very first thoughts:
- LOVE the rubber finish, LOVE the gunmetal battery door. I think the contrast is very elegant, and the feel is perfect.
- The button clickiness is totally posh, a pure pleasure.
- The fire button is very responsive. Like very. If you are accustomed to keeping your thumb (or finger, however you roll) resting on the fire button, well, you *might* not be able to do that without a lot of accidental firing. Do NOT put this in your pocket, or anywhere else it might get pressed up against something (is that a JAC in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me???) without turning off first.
- In the hand it's slim and light. I see why Katdarling says it's like a tube mod, because that's the hold I'm using -- like my old Provari Minis: little finger under the base, pad of thumb to fire. I can also hold it in my palm (no little finger under the bottom) and use the inside of my thumb to fire, but for me it doesn't feel quite as comfortable. I have to say again how luxurious the rubberized finish feels.
- Battery door is definitely grippy-grabby! Absolutely zero looseness or play at all on mine. I did need to use my thumbnail to get it off, but can see now how to do it without (in case anyone is worried about their manicure!
) The door only goes on one way. When you first take it off, look at the bottom and see how the magnet is attached there differently than the top. This is how it goes back on. When replacing the door, attach it at bottom first, then snap in the top. If you do it this way, it's very easy to replace.
- My KFM 3s feel like they are awkwardly tall on it, and a little top-heavy in weight. I think it definitely looks better with the shorter atties. I decided to go matchy-matchy with my maiden voyage, and used a black Vika Fantasy (similar to Kabuki). The proportions are better to my eye, and I do like the lightness of this atty on the Jac.
- vaping experience is perfect. Instantly responsive, smooth, effortless. Perfect.
Not the best photo by a far shot, but here she is:
- The menu window is very large and clear. I haven't messed with settings since I don't TC, so I can't say much about that, but as far as viewing, it's very easy to see, and comes in my preferred alignment! Also, it's very true that the instructions are rolled up and curly!

(Sorry, I can't do an in-hand, which would be MUCH more useful to show scale, etc, because I have to shoot it with my iPad.)
In conclusion, I'll say she feels and vapes like

I'm very happy with the purchase, and very happy I didn't have any trouble with customs!
If I could, I would double "like" your review !
I heard those steam tuner nano tank for the k5 is nice. I never got the 5 because of its tall size, but heard they were awesome. It's funny , the other day I just heard about the nano and possibly a tpd compliance tank from SM themselves, I think either would now make me purchase a 5, and by the lenght, seems perfect. The erlkonigin nano is 2ml tank and is the smallest rta tank I know of, period and a great mtl tootle tank. Now the erlprinz is from the same company and is exactly like the erlk, but just a tad bit cheaper in fit and finish. They look pretty much the same but the erlprinz is much cheaper. Not sure if they are still making either but I may have an extra one for you at no cost. Let me check when I get home. I think the erlp and erlk Nanos are like 33 mm ?Diver, I see Steam Tuners makes a nano kit for the kayfun 5. Reduces the height from 60mm to 40mm (w/o drip tip & 510 threads). The KM3 is 54mm. So a K5 nano would reduced 14mm relative to the KM3. That would be the ticket. Only problem is Steam Tuners is not bashful about charging for these. About $45 - $50. Creme de Vape sells them. Something to consider for me. I can convert my K5 to nano for the JAC. Love my K5 as much as my KM3.

Impatient as always & as delivery day approaches (still 3 - 5 days away... lol), I've setup 3 toppers for my & the better halfs new JAC's. Black Joyetech Cubis w/ .5 SS factory coil, SS Wotofo Serpent Mini w/ a single contact SS316L 24ga 3mm .3ohm coil & a SS NarDA clone w/ a single spaced SS316L 26ga 3mm .4ohm coil. Escribe software has been downloaded & installed. Downloaded the tutorial & ready to go...![]()
That black S-22 that JAC sells looks very nice on the mod. Gets good reviews too. I'm just not into pre-built coils though so it's not a fit for me.
Don't worry @Katdarling, we can wait a week or two ......Sure wish I could have shot that pic with BOTH tanks as a komparison, but that would necessitate two Jax.![]()
I'm hoping it will go well with the SXK KF v5 mini, even though it's called mini they are still pretty tall. I only have one shorty tank right now (doggy) and have to get into next month before I can order more vape stuff. I was a naughty girl to order the Jac, I haven't even fessed up the the hubby yet.I suppose I'm one who has fewer issues with the height of a tank. I'll use, for example, an Eggie with a tall tip. Bothers me not in the slightest.

But, for that more stealthy look, I DO really like my Kompact Kayfuns.

YOU are READY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
By the way, for anyone interested in the black S-22, its sides match the “rubber” part on the mod. The drip tip is Delrin. IS a nice looking tank.
I'm with you, Bronze. I have no interest in starting a new stash box of another type of pop-in. I'm delighted with the 3 varietals I have amassed (Nauti, BVC, and CLR). And, I have instant frustration with those tiny slotted windows. Nuh uh, not fer me.

That sounds delightful. Something you make or something you buy?butterscotch pecan pie and custard.
1 watt to 75 watt
I can set it down to 1.0. JWB, but if there are any other potentially contributing factors I'm not familiar with them.
I'm in wattage mode, if that matters.
I think the minimum might be lowest voltage in conjunction with resistance ?

Yes they were finicky, but there weren't any other rebuildable tanks then . I think it was those, cigliks, carts, non rebuildable dripping attys , or tanks like the vivi novas. I tried all those, but felt the genny was the best vape when it was working just right , which after a while, got really good at it... but as soon as the kayfun came out, I pretty much switchedI bought a Genny not long after they came out. Never came across a more finicky atomizer. Got fed up with it and sold it and the mesh I used with it. Hated making those rolled up mesh wicks and torching them. Vaping had come a long way (before Deeming).
Ssshhhh... Don't tell my husband but I just ordered the JacNow the waiting game begins.
/whispers WOOHOO!!
I don't have the KF5, but I'm using the doggy now, with some lovely butterscotch pecan pie and custard. Doggy is great on the Jac! Maybe we should call this combo a Jac Russell?

Bronze, here is a pick of the jac with the erlprinz. The tank is 33mm without the drip tip, with it it's 50mm. The tip you see actually has female threads at the bottom which then threads onto the male threading which is on the chimney of the tank. The second pick is with the adapter screwed onto the tank and with that, you can use any of your own tips. But using the adapter and a regular old tip, it becomes a bit taller then 50mm, so the stock tip usually looks better. Like I mentioned, I have a bunch and I can give you one, or at least send one to you to try![]()

And with the erlkonigin, except for the tip, it's hard to distinguish the difference![]()
I belive, the JAC may be a smash..ohmygosh - lots of catching up to do !
Loving the pics of the arrivals !
That looks real nice on the JAC, Diver. Don't send me one just yet. I'm still weighing my options. I'm liking that Steam Tuners nano kit for the K5 a lot. Nice looking, high quality and it allows me to keep my K5 which I really like. Thanks for the consideration, buddy!Bronze, here is a pick of the jac with the erlprinz.
