I don't like tube mods, my hands are too dry and even adjusting the bottom switch makes most of the tube mods simply slip. I love the Noisy Cricket I, the price is right, and although it might not be the hardest hitting mech in the market now, it's a good mech. Simple to use, simple to clean, minding the batteries and the atty positive!!! Any bad things I should know about?

Just be mindful of the usual safety precautions for any mechanical mod, and in particular a hybrid-top or direct battery mod. Make sure that the atomizer you use on it has an extended center pin.

Do you use sub-ohm coils? Be aware that a dual battery series mechanical mod doubles only the voltage, and does not increase the amperage or amp limit.

The reviewer in this video believes that the two batteries in "series" doubles the amp rating, which is not true. It only doubles the voltage.

Ahhhh the noisy cricket the mod i nicknamed "the worlds most dangerous mod". A mod thats in series, sticky firebutton, no quick way to remove venting batteries, battery skins to protect shorts on batteries peel off easy and its a hybrid mod on top of that! LOL I KIDDD DONT KILL ME! Fantastic mod for people looking for a quick and cheap way to enter series mech mods. I would recommend the Fatty Daddy upgrade kit FatDaddyVapes.com - Home of the best vape tweaks and replacement hardware.. switch is much better, makes the mod alot better in my opinion but you lose the hybrid connection. As a bonus you get a SMPL style mech included.

Subohming for me is around 0,4 ohms. I rarely go above that. I usually use either Samsung 25R or VTC5A. I'm minding my ohms, but I'm definitely keeping those charts! So clear!
I survived the era when we stacked 18350 batteries on Reos...

Another easy way to protect yourself from faulty wraps, I choose a piece of thin acetate I cut to spec and simply slip into the battery compartment. It's enough to protect most mods.

It's not my cuppa, but a lot of the people who have one like it. Pay careful attention to the cautions @Baditude and others have offered; build higher than normal and watch out for that :censored: faux-hybrid connection. Series mods can be interesting. I have built a few. I don't really need the battery power, though-- I'm a 30-40 watt vaper-- and I have put them aside so I don't have to constantly think about what coil I am building for which machine. Be careful and enjoy, if you take the plunge.
