I spent nothing this month or for many many preceding months. I doubt that I will spend any more money for a long time. A battery here or there and maybe wire will be about it. I have a generational supply of rayon, I have a supply of ten dna 75 boards and two kit mods that I can swap boards, I have several atomizers that I like, I brew my own unflavored juice. And if it all fails, I have a mechanical squonker of great quality.

At first, I didn't care, so long as I did not smoke a cigarette. That cigarette money was about $240 for a pack a day. I just accepted that my health was worth it. I came down in spending after about four months. A lot of buying spares and juices to try. Eventually, I started making my own coils and making my own juice.

That was a long time ago. Now,, with my supplies, I don't think I have spent any money in the last 6-8 months.

I am not a shinyitis person.

When I started vaping my goal was to become self sufficient before the government could mess it all up, I've achieved that goal.
Yup! Self-sufficiency rocks. With last year's state and local bans, and this year's virus-panic lock-downs, I'm kinda glad the FDA's deeming regs provided the motivation to become self-sufficient with respect to vaping.

But now I'm starting to wonder if I should have built that chicken coop...

Oh dear god it depends. I could easily go forever I think not spending another penny its just sometimes I break stuff (so much less anymore) but I don't really HAVE to spend ANYTHING.

I am not SPENDING another penny on a new drop in device and I am ah, kinda mad that I encountered the new Nautilus mesh coil because I am stocked up on my favorite the 1.6 coil, but the mesh blows it out of the water, so NO MORE COILS. If I do not know, I will not want.

I have two tanks for drop ins, the kabuki and the original Zenith. I have TONS of RTAs and some doubles for when they die. I filled a freezer to the brim with nic, but I'm only 45. I try to avoid the flavor rabbit hole, got so many I have not even tried....

So yeah, then every now and then I get a bug up my .... and buy a dicodes, but I don't really regret it. THEY are gonna be the ones with me who have survived my vaping misdeeds I sort of think. They are SOLID.

Mix and rebuild and don't buy things you don't need vaping is pretty much free. My DIY is one cent per ml so 10 cents a day. I have all the mods and atomizers I'll ever need but there are a few more things still on the wish list. My favorite mods and atomizers are still the ones I stockpiled 4 years ago so I can be picky.

Notice how the government drop dead date keeps getting pushed out? Now there's good evidence that nicotine is protective against the corona virus. If true there should be good confirmation in months which might turn nicotine into a Cinderella story.

I've been spending more since I've come back to ECF and been hearing about the vapocolypse, which has been delayed until September. But since I don't have shinyitis, I'm not buying anything I wouldn't have bought in the future anyway. Two liters of nic at 50 dollars each, which is all my little freezer has room for, $50/month of drop-in coils for my Prince TFV12 and I'll continue to spend that until the Deeming. I have some RBAs for the Prince, but I'm not too skilled at rebuilds. I had bought one extra Smok Mag 225w when I thought I had killed my first one trying the RBA, and I bought one more as a third backup. I've ordered 5 sets of spare tanks and o-rings. I guess I've spent about 500-600 dollars this year.

    Most months is zero.

And reading through, a lot of us spend $100 to $200 in one month, then nothing for many months. Many of us mix our own juice, and many do their own coils. Large outlays to start, but for me, a liter of 100mg nic, 2 gal of vg and a gal of pg will last me a decade!

    I'll have to guesstimate.

Averaging $15/month for the last 4 years.
I anticipate $10/month for the next 4 years.

(where it'd be at least $200/month if I was still smoking)
