Personally I'm fine with what I have 3 setups (I don't cloud chase just a smoking alternative) I have a 650 mah passthrough ego battery. I have a 11000 mah ego then I have an 1100(ish) Evod Vv battery. I'm perfectly fine with them. But I have a handful of t3s tanks, a couple Vivi novas, a dozen or so ce4's, and a couple protanks, I plan on buying more as I think I could find a better tan . More reliable and a better vape has to be out there somewhere lol.

so, been doin vape for three months. Smoked for 20 years and haven't now for three months. Question is: how many setups do people typically get? I have a few batteries and personally love the itaste vv V3. I keep ordering clearomizers. Just wondering when do I stop? Can you have too many mini tanks?

You're in good company, and I may have you beat. I've been at this for 2 weeks (as of yesterday), and so far I own a Vision Spinner VV, a Halo Triton set (with 2 batteries), 5 Aspire glass clearomizers, a Kanger clearo, I'm waiting to receive another order with 2 more Triton batteries (larger mAh than in the starters, and VV), 5 more Triton tanks, a G6 starter kit with 15 blank cartos (for the evenings out with a smallish purse), and some generic 200 mAh battery which I have no idea why I bought but it seemed like a good idea at the time.

And if that wasn't enough, tonight I ordered an Eleaf iStick with 2 Nautilus Mini BVC tanks.

And I won't even discuss the bottles of juice I have in my possession.

In 2 weeks. I wonder if there's a 12-step program....

Feel better? :D

I feel like I can never have enough but I have slowed down on buying stuff lately just because it was getting pretty expensive. But I love the stuff that I have right now. Next on my list to buy is the FUhattan mod and possibly an iPV3.

Mods- KSD e-Huge, iPV2, and Cronus clone mech mod
Tanks- iClear 30, iClear 30S, Kanger AeroTank v2, Kayfun Lite Plus v2
Drippers-Plume Veil, Stillare, Tobh 2.5, Nimbus

I've been at this just shy of 3 months, and I have only a modest collection - my first 650mah Ego C twist + Kanger mini tank, a 1300mah Vision spinner + Kanger Protank 2, a 1650mah Vision spinner + Protank 2 and my latest Eleaf IStick + mini Nautilus, and 2 full size Nautiluses for the Provari 3 my wife promised me for our anniversary (which doesn't look like it's going to happen since our anniversary's the 26th and ProVape still hasn't come out with the 3!) But then there's all the labware for DIY, somewheres north of 100 flavors, 1 liter of 100 mg nicotine, 1 liter of 18 mg nicotine, VG, bottles, I dunno maybe 30 bottles of commercial premixed juices, etc., etc., etc. - and I'm still over $1000 ahead of the game, cigarettes are so expensive here!

Whatever you are comfortable with. I am a firm believer in spare everything, and it's fun!

I have a pile of spinners and four replaceable batt regulated mods. Nothing fancy,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, yet. Maybe 10+ Kanger tanks, one Kayfun. I am pretty much done buying for awhile. If all goes well I may buy a nice regulated mod in about six months as a reward. Should be interesting to see what's available then.... or still available.

I have a small pile of stuff I need to hide before the wife comes back from Hawaii........ I was left alone and been pretty bored :)

Sometimes it takes awhile and many tanks/clearomizers later to discover what complete setup or tank works best for you. I ordered plenty of tanks. Starting with an ismoka mini, then progressed to higher quality Kanger Tech tanks (I have 5 different ones). Now I have moved on from Kanger to Aspire Nautilus Mini BVC. The Nautilus in my opinion is the best tank with a replaceable coil. I'm sure I will eventually get a rebuildable coil tank. I'm using a ProVari P3 & Nautilus, which are a great combination.

You can never have too many tanks. Keep ordering and trying different ones until you find what will Vape best with your battery setup. Once you find the perfect one, it will be worth all the trial and error.

Goodluck ;-)

I started vaping with cigalikes towards the end of June, and quit smoking with them in July. Since then, I've gotten an iTaste 134 mini (had to have it, just for the look), an ego-T passthrough, maybe 4 or 5 other ego batteries, an Lrider Mini Lambo (tinny thing, but I like it), itaste VTR (mine is very finicky with the 510 contact, and it's too heavy for me), a stainless Sigelei Zmax mini (LOVE it...very solid, has the 18500 and 18650 extensions, nice OLED screen), and now my newest A-Mod ZNA30 clone. I wish I could go back in time and just have gotten 2 of those!

And I went on a tank kick for a while....a real and a clone Nautilus, a real and 2 clone AeroTanks, an AeroTank Mega clone, AeroTank Mini, 2 clone ProTank Mini's, 2 clone ProTanks, and 4 or 5 carto tanks. Oh, and maybe 4 or 5 of those cheap eGo threaded tank things. I definitely have an OCD buying problem. But hopefully I will calm down for a while now that I have enough stuff to keep me busy during the day, changing tanks with diff. flavors, etc.

Ugh, I forgot.....just today, I got a Smok Zmax in light purple (I'm a guy, and will probably just use this at home, or get a wrap. LOL), only because it was the last one they had online and it was 16.99 shipped! I had to have it. Help. I got a Kayfun clone and am getting a Rose V2 clone in the mail, and I have a tiny 14500 hybrid RDA mod....those 3 are just gonna be sitting in the boxes until I learn all about how to use them (battery safety, coil building, etc.).

I've been vaping for 6 weeks. I've already accumulated 3 ego style batteries....(one was given to me free). I have two protanks and and evod tank. I just ordered the eleaf istick and another Evod tank. I like being able to load up about three different flavored liquids to give me variety throughout the day. I find that if I vape the same flavor for more than a couple hours at a sitting, it loses taste.

I also found that I had to try out some different setups to figure out what works with what.....and that is still a process. Plus, I view some of the purchases as little reward incentives to stay off the cigarettes. I am still having some cravings for analogs, but I've mostly been able to keep that at bay by keeping the vaping interesting and fresh. So, all is well. I figure even with all the hardware and liquid I've purchased initially....I am still about even with what I would have spent smoking cigs.

I'm sure in the near future I'll start to see a decrease in my expenses but for now I needed to try a few setups to see what I like.

Good luck to you!

I have tons of stuff. I started with a Vision Spinner and now I use a Hana V3 with a Kayfun Lite. All my mods are authentic which cost me more. I have a black and brass Manhattan. I have several Tugboat RDAs, three nautilus, nautilus mini, six protank 3s, plume veil, tons of kanthal, and a massive amount of juice.

not sure how many will ever be considered enough.. For me I have two x6 batteries with two protank 2s Ive only been vaping a month So yeah still new at it and money wise Well the wife wears the purse strings and even sometimes the pants, She just lets me think im in charge. So far this is enough for me until I can read more and find a good online supplier, One brick and mortar here in town is good. The other I went to actually where i got my Batteries I felt violated after My sale way to much money for a battery later and Ive written them off my christmas Card list :) Maybe my chemist wife my actually let me get into mixing once I sell her on the LOw LOw prices :)

No, probably not. Any tank I can rebuild is staying in my vape box. (so, iClears are mosty bye, bye....) When they ban tanks in 2016, having dozens of them will make sense.

I guess I have 4 mods, 4 mechs, 6 eGos, 25 clearos (mostly small) and 6 rebuildable atomizers. I don't shop much these days... :) LOL

8months... Skipped the vape pen and went straight to an MVP. Then a caravella clone. Hana clone. Sigelei 100w. 2protank II. Protank mini. Kfl+ clone. 2trident clones(hey, they were 7$). Magma clone. 4 18650 batteries. Way too many items to list for coil building and diy juice.... You're probably fine.

I stop when the bank starts yelling.
Like someone else mentioned, just think you're coming off of the worst addiction man ever created. Yup worse than ...... addiction. Do you think our personalities are a little prone to addictive or "compulsive" behavior? Click "Buy" Button, track that pkg., watch for the postman, yeah!! its here!, rip the package open, try it, contemplate your shinning new toy, hold it, try it, feel it, vape it.... Look at my other tanks, batteries :vapor: hmmm taste good. But I like that tank.... hmmm need to try out some e-liquids... But I really like this tank, should have at least another one just in case this one breaks. Can I afford it??? Let me check e-bay... Thats a good buy 2 for $16. or I can get 5 of these for $18. But then I need another battery, I need more replacement coils first. Check the tracking number, can't wait for that new battery. Let me order some PG & VG, some concentrated flavors and save $ that way. Oh, it 12:45PM already, dang it my breakfast is sitting in the micro wave. :vapor:
So on goes my dance of addiction. No I'm not smoking and yes I'm at 0 nicotine level. Now what??? Drink a lot of ice water. Damn, really need a tank for each flavor to find my favorite. Where is that other battery I ordered? Lets see I have 2 tanks & 5 clearos in my buy basket. Click on "Save for Later". Well once I buy these, I won't have to buy anything else... Except for welded coil wire, wick material, E-liquid, Oh right just getting PG & VG with some concentrated flavors then I'll be finished buying stuff for a while... It would be better if I waited till next month but then the prices might go up or they'll be gone...:vapor:

If you are just a humble vaper as I am – then sure you can have too many tanks.
If vaping is your hobby (not just a decent way to quit smoking) – then you’ll never have enough tanks.

I'm on this boat!

It depends on the tanks of course. I have three Protank 3 tanks; one of which is unopened in original packaging in a drawer in case I lose one. I have different flavors in each of my tanks.

The key to my setup is that I have a cache of replacement coils. About 50-75. I'm not worried about a tank going bad cause I have a back up that will likely last me 6 months or more as well as my second tank already in use.

Now when I vaped ce4/5 tanks. I'd buy them in 10 packs because usually 3 or 4 leaked right out of the box and the remaining tanks eventually split, leaked, etc. in less than a month. So, I just ordered a 10 pack every month on the first.

Get a good quality tank that you like and you could get by on that for 6-8 months just fine. However I always recommend a back up just in case you break it, lose it, etc. :)
