Something strange happened this morning - I got an email from ECF saying I had to change my Password which I did, then got into the site as normal for a moment before it blanked out and required me to log in again. I have been a member since 2015 and this has never happened before. I have contacted the Admin Team to see if this is legit or if I have been hacked, as I would not wish to find I have been banned for posting inappropriate material if I have been hacked.

The exact same thing happened to me yesterday. After I changed my password and it blanked out asking me to sign in again, I did that and it told me I was already logged in.

I had the same thing happen this morning and I too hesitated on doing it.
Must have been a software update on their end.

Same. I did a search for PASSWORD using yesterday's date and it came up all over the place.

I was bothered by this ,as a couple of my wife's nursing friends ( Ladies in all senses of the word, one also a Church Elder ) got hacked on FB and the hacker posted hard porn under their names.

It took ages to get sorted out.

Glad(?) to see others have had the same thing ,so it guess it must be to do with a reboot of the site or similar.

I forced a password change due to recent breaches and the ongoing compromised accounts here posting spam.

No it wasn't vape Porn or even enjoyable stuff as in the first series of Outlander ( we have all been young and in love) this was stuff I hadn't even seen in convicts' magazines in a long term maximum security jail.

It was seriously unpleasant stuff.

No initial email, but forced to reset. Link in that email failed first try then worked second try. (Now see it sent another...) Top of change field was populated with my old password? Did change it slightly* and got logged back in.

Well, I guess I'm another one, except I never could get an email to reset my password on my JCinFLA account. I made numerous attempts to get 1, but no luck!

Had to make a new account! Now I'm hoping a mod can/will do whatever is necessary so I have access to my original account, my past, on-going conversations and new ones that I wasn't able to access and read! Would be nice to not have to look like I'm a "newbie", too!

it surprises me that so many ECF members had issues/problems with.......... a simple password change

on Monday when I refreshed an ECF page on my iPhone, I was greeted with an informative message, telling me I had to change my PW

the forum SW automatically redirected me to the page for changing my PW

I changed it, then the ECF page auto-refreshed to the one I originally intended to browse, zero problems/issues

the only email I received was one informing me that my password was changed

personally, I think the admins should "request" everyone change their passwords regularly, sure would help in keeping member accounts, ummm, somewhat more secure, using sufficiently strong PW's would help, two step verification even better

Disagree. Forced password changes result in passwords like "11RedTrucks!" then "12BrownCats!" etc not "cx3eH6952&>GF49*/5d31Qeb7" And no, none of those are my password here.
