I'm new to vaping,I've never done it before but I wanted to try it since its gonna be getting cold up here soon and I don't wanna be stuck outside smoking my smelly analogs. (already picking up some of the lingo just from browsin these forums ;) )

I just ordered a Joye 510 starter kit from e-smokey treats for $60 + $12 shipping, I hope thats a reasonable deal and I hope I ordered from a trusted site, I got the link from browsing these forums.

I saw a site selling Joye 510s for $45 but they were out of stock and another site that looked a bit dodgy selling just a single for $25.

Anyways I'm really excited! I should be getting them early next week with priority mail which is usually no more then 4 days and I think USPS counts Saturdays as a business day too so I'm hoping to get them by Tuesday at the latest.

The only thing I'm worried about is the cartridge, they advertised 5 Marlboro cartridges, now I'm not a big Marlboro guy, I'm more of a Camel Lights, Nat Sherman, and as of late Dunhill kind of smoker.

So I was wondering what sites offers the best deals on e-juice with reasonably fast shipping (no more then 5 day shipping).

Also the different flavors I'm after, from what I hear the RY4 and flu cured juices is pretty popular. I want to stray away from any fruity type flavors for now until I'm ready to get into that mess. I'm not looking to buy in bulk either, just a couple 10 to 30ml bottle at medium to high potency, every other week or so should do it for me. =)

Make sure you have a few extra batteries on hand and also AT LEAST one extra atomizer, you don't want to be stuck if something breaks.

For the juice, I am not in the US so I can't answer. I would get one other flavor other than just tobacco. Vapeing is different to smoking, so you might not enjoy the cig flavor as much as you think, to be honest it really doesn't taste like cigs.. Also after vaping for a few days you will start to realize how nasty the taste of cigs really were..

I believe my starter kit comes with 2 fully assemble 510's so I should be good in that department.

Oh you don't have to tell me twice, everyday now it seems my cigs are tasting like crap, I'm not fully satisfied with the taste of tobacco anymore, very rare occasions I get that rich smooth taste like the first drag in a long while but its short lived after a couple more puffs.

I'm ready for a change.

Come talk to me after a week of vapeing on how good cigs taste LOL When I swtiched I still loved the taste of cigs, I even had a carton of All Natural Native in the freezer, which taste like Marlboro, which we can't get in Canada. It was a treat, now I can't stand them.

I also make the mistake of mixing up a full 30 ml of 36mg using Lorrane Cherry. Its not the best choice to say the least LOL Taste like a really cheap hard candy sucker.. Yet as I try to get through it, it is actually tasing better than my USA Mix tobacco juice.

And not I'm not a fruit LOL I'm the hard smoking beer drinking sort of guy, if thats what you are worried about with the fruity flavors.

$60 isn't the best price for a 510 but if it can break you of the cigarette habit, I'd say it's a steal at $100! Once you break the habit you're going to find your tastes have not only returned but they've changed. I smoked menthol lights for over 20 years. My favorite flavor... Licorice. Who knew?

Once you get stocked up and find out what you're needs are, you won't mind the week long wait for stuff to arrive. When you're new it's gotta be fast, we understand. You might want to hop over to rockymountainvapor. Good prices, fast delivery, but... They offer 10ml bottles. I love 10ml bottles. It's a great way to sample flavors. What every sparks your interest. Coca Cola is a personal favorite. There sure as *@#%! was never a cigarette that tasted as good as a Coca Cola vape.

If you smoke Camels... try Camel! My favorite cigarette flavor turned out to be Winston. I've got 30ml on the way. It takes a while to work through any companies body of flavors, so take your time. Then try somebody else.

Welcome!

P.S. Don't do it for the weather. Don't do it for the taste. Don't do it for the money. Don't do it for your health. Just do it for yourself.
P.P.S. Oh, but yeah, you can do it because the taxes on cigarettes suck. I think we're all in agreement there.
P.P.P.S. Don't be surprised if you like that Marlboro. After a few weeks or hopefully a month. You ARE going to pick up a cigarette. Please do, you have my blessing. When you realize what they really taste like, you're in for a big surprise. Good luck finishing it.

I'm relatively new to vaping also. I've only been smoke-free since 9/28/09. 50 years, 2 packs/day! Yes, hard core smoker. I think my lungs were about ready to drop on the floor. Stuff I tried like Virginia, and some others, were too sweet for me. Just tasted kinda funky. I wanted something that tasted more like an analog. And I found it! Well, I found two actually.

From Wet Your Stick:
#1 Cuban Cigar! Oh my! Wonderful, smooth tobacco flavor with no sweetness. No funky fake tobacco taste. This stuff is wonderful. Nuff said!
#2 Tobacco. Smooth but somewhat milder than Cuban. No weird sweetness whatsoever. This is also good stuff.

These are my two main flavors. I ordered a sample bottle of Vanilla for the heck of it and this was the big surprise. Very very good with no sweetness. Just a subtle vanilla flavor. Very good mixed lightly with either Cuban or Tobacco. Makes things interesting when I want a change of pace. I'm ordering a 30 ml bottle next order.

I do enjoy cigars, my latest favorite has got to be the Hoyo de Monterrey cigars in the lightly gold wrapping, delicious!

What do you mean only been smoke-free since 9/28/09? If you're like a lot of people you probably thought you'd never be smoke free, so it's quite an accomplishment.

I always say don't be afraid to experiment. The minute you say, "I only like...", you'll find a flavor that surprises you. Vanilla is one of those core flavors you can add to a lot of juice but also good by itself.

Congratulations!

You won't need to worry about any offensive Marlboro flavor. Those carts don't taste anything like Marlboros, or any other tobacco I know of.

Rocky Mountain Vapor sells 10ml of juice (up to 24mg) for 6 bucks, and if you order 3 you get free shipping (anything over $14 is shipped free). It's a great deal that lets you try some different things without wasting much money, and their shipping is super fast (2-3 biz days) so if you find one you like you can order more without having to worry about going through your 10ml before the next shipment arrives.

Your mom said not to say...
For the record RMV is located in Michigan not Colorado or any of the western states in which the Rocky Mountains reside. They recently changed locations. As for their service you should find your kit in your mailbox inside of 4 days and probably 3. The prices are great and when you look at the free shipping on orders over $14 it is perhaps the best deal around for those kits. I have used them repeatedly for my juice orders and I have not been kept waiting on an order yet.

As for the flavors of the juices, you and everyone else on here myself included had no interest in the fruity flavors, and all that crap. I was a smoker of tobacco not candy or fruit. Once you start doing this though I imagine you will soon change your tune when you see a flavor that catches your eye. One of the cool things about these is that you have so many options to try out and experiment with. Did you know you can get some Roast Chicken flavor and make some Roast Chicken E-juice? Decadent Vapours does, that's where you can get that flavor! Unreal! The point is never say never, when it comes to the flavors that you may try and find that you enjoy.

I also rotate between my kits as I imagine many others do as well. I have yet to run into a person who has been using these for any amount of time that has just the one model and no others. These are consumables, they were not meant to be used in the manner we have taken to use them as a 100% replacement for tobacco cigarettes. I find that most people get frustrated with E-Cigs until they come to realize that fact. I have no issues replacing the parts every month or so on the three piece units so they are always performing at their best. At $40 a kit or so it's still way cheaper than cigarettes but in reality once you have the first kit of any model you really don't need to order complete replacement kits, all you really need is to replace the atomizers and the battery since you already have the chargers and accessories that came in your first kit and you have yourself a brand new unit. I think if the people that get frustrated were to take the approach that these are consumables then their satisfaction would increase a great deal.

The flavor thingy is, to say the least, most misleading for a newby. I was one that had to have a tobacco flavor.

You could keep the girly-flavors. I also HATE girly-flavored coffees. Toss the hazelnut and give me my black Columbian.

But it's not at all the same vaping. I love licorice, pina colada and vanilla raspberry rocks. Go figure.

Personal favorite suppliers: Johnson Creek for a wide variety of yummy premixed juice flavors -- I've built up quite a stash here, and still growing!

And LiquidXpress for DIY components. Don't be scared to try -- it's easier than it looks! Fast shipping and great customer service. I start with 36 mg "naked" PG -- 20-25 drops. Add 15 or so drops of flavoring (currently using Lemon Ginger) and maybe 10 drops of VG. Adjust to taste. Simple! Can't wait to try the Vanilla & Cream I just received, as soon as I run out of the Lemon Ginger. It's so much fun to try all the flavors! The smell of analogs now wrinkles my nose. And when I get my dog every day from her smoking household (yes, I have an odd, but very workable dog-share arrangement) I feel like giving her a bath first thing -- her fur smells so yucky!

Oh, and I almost forgot to say, I have a Prodigy, so the batts are completely sealed, meaning I can drip and not use carts anymore. I had always secretly wondered about the safety of inhaling partially-burned polyfill or whatever they use in those.

Prof Daffy: No one is more shocked than I that I quit analogs with such ease after 50 years and 2 packs a day! It took me a week to break the habit as it took me that long to fiddle with my 801. Yup, there's a learning curve. That week I smoked only one pack... the entire week! Second week, nada! And none since. Geez, I can breathe again!
