I have been holding off on making my # 1,000 post since I wanted to make it a special post not just a routine one.I've been here on ECF over 2 years and here in PIF not quite as long but almost.Looking back so many changes;old friends gone though sometimes they return even if for a short hello but many new ones have joined and we continue to grow.Back when PIF quickly became my on-line family I really had no life to speak of.A nurse for many years an accident in 1997 resulted in having to leave a career I loved and join the "retired by disability " ranks.I thank God I have 7 wonderful kids and 11 fantastic grandkids but they have lives of their own also.I soon found PIF to be a warm ,compasionate group that accepted me as I am faults and all.Even when my diabeties and then Menieres disease was diagnosed and resulted in having to decrease my participation here I have never felt left out.I read the posts as much as possible and even though I can't post near as much as I would like I share in the joys and sorrows;the good times and the bad. Those of you who may not "know" me you are friends I have yet to meet and I pray for our group each day.I sincerely believe and have witnessed the Lord /higher power move within our family here.I rejoice in the successes of those who have launched new and growing companys, new babys born, new jobs,graduations...I could go on and on .Bottom line; blessings flow over us all ,testemony to the karma of PIF.Even the hard times when they come are made easier to get through knowing we have a family here ready to give us loving support through it.A friend can always be found here at PIF.As for a short update on myself I still have the issues with chronic pain,my blood sugars and the vertigo but I am slowly finding I am having more good days than bad and each good day gives me the strength to get thru the bad ones.I am happy to report that in Febuary of the comming year I will be seeing a specialist that will be preforming surgery to remove my inner left ear which should cure the vertigo(I have lost all hearing in that ear anyway!).Those of you who have had Menieres or loved ones who do can understand what a blessing this will be! In the meantime I must still limit my computer time since it triggers these spells if I am on to long.I am mommy" to my 2 kittys and they give alot of love when I'm having a bad day.Even with so many things wrong in the world these days and getting worse I find myself looking for the good that still exists.I find happiness in the simple pleasures then look for ways to share it even if it is a simple kind word or just a hello given with a smile to a stranger(a friend you have yet to meet). PIF can be a way of life in so many ways.I think I'm starting to ramble a bit here so please know ,each and everyone of you, that I treasure our family here each and everyone.May the Lord/Higher Power be with each of you. Always in my heart and in my prayers, Sue aka gramakittycat :)

grandmakittycat - Congrats on 1000! and prayers for a successful surgery! My cousin has Menieres and was also a nurse. My mom suffered from vertigo for a short time in her life and it really effects ones quality of life. Don't forget to remind us when the time s closer so we can make sure you're covered up in prayers and positive thoughts!

Grandmakittycat,

I'm so glad that you have the surgery scheduled. I hope that it gives you all the relief that you deserve! I know that we don't "know" each other but GKC you really have touched some of us with what you have shared. That and the fact that you love the kitties, well you were already "good" in my book!

lottsa luck and love
