How is that? Are Jewish people more tolerant?
......... ... Juuuuust kidding.

But anyway, most hospitals are not only and obviously smoke free....... But the signs I've seen at hospitals here in and around Chitcago are "smoke free environments" ...... So that's where it's coming from..... I'm sure there are some weirdos that would consider vaping in your car in a hospital parking lot to be a felony offense........but I'm also of the Idgaf mentality when common sense over rules illogical or irrational arguments !
LOL! While I am not Jewish, I use that word to mean that everything is alright and there is absolutely nothing wrong with my actions (in this case: vaping where it is not frowned upon or prohibited).
As a courtesy, I don't dry burn my coils in smokefree environments. Otherwise I feel as if there is no smoke, there is no problem.
As far as tobacco free environments, until recreational nicotine is deemed a tobacco product by a government agency with jurisdiction, I am not using a tobacco product when vaping (non-tobacco liquid).
I totally understand the dry burning! I will walk my mod outside of the local B&M to dry burn my coils if gunked up, just so that no one has to smell or breath in that burnt smell.

While 98.9% of my vaping is done in acceptable places, I have stealth vaped at the movies and a recent concert I attended. I will not even take in a mech or box mod, just my Nautilus and iStick. While this still puts off a decent amount of vapor, I will counteract this by holding it in to ensure no vapor and blowing it toward the floor as extra precaution. Movies can be pretty long, and I have even been lucky to have the theater to myself or group a time or two. Then I am not concerned about vapor. At the concert (christian btw, so I am sure more than a fair number of ANTZ in attendance) we were so high up in the next to last row of nose bleed section that I was pretty nervous. The slope of the section looked about 45°, and less than a foot to stand on, so I vaped to ease my nerves. I still held it in, even though they had the fog machines pumping VG in pretty hazy, and only once did one of the people I went with make a comment about it. She knew I had it and was vaping, and she asked what the flavor was, that it smelled really good. So mission accomplished, nerves were settled and was discreet and stealthy as possible!

Forgot to mention, some nicotine is derived from tobacco leaves so the goobermint might grasp at straws. Other nicotine is synthetically created without any plant matter, so they have no jurisdiction IMHO. My college campus has no tobacco use signs posted EVERYWHERE, especially by enterances to buildings. They make me laugh, since the say: No use, by anyone, everywhere, at all times. I know one of my classmates smokes in her car, as well as one of my instructors on break. Classmate says no one will bother you for smoking in your car, which flies directly in the face of their signs. I just stand outside (not near the entrance) and vape. Since my classes are in afternoon or evening, generally there is nobody around anyways to fuss. I was disheartened to see a slide on an announcement TV that the no-smoking rule also applied to e-cigs with a blu in the background, but I will stand my ground until contested by a school official. If they have a problem I will tell them I am more than happy to transfer back to my previous college where smoking is allowed everywhere besides doorway entrances and that school can have my hard-earned money.

TL-DR: Yeah, I ramble, especially after a fair amount of stiff drinks. Sorry!

I haven't been harassed so much as followed. Last June I was in the city and was walking around from cycle shop to cycle shop (I like bicycles) when I noticed a some cops behind me making a lot of noise. I was just vaping and listening to Hanson's greatest hits (which is just MMMBop over and over) on my ipod so I didn't think anything this of it and figured if they wanted to ask me about it, they could. I kept walking, they kept following and it was getting louder and louder. I turned left, they turned left. I turned right, they turned right. I picked up the pace, they picked up the pace. Then I noticed it wasn't just cops following me, there was indians, construction workers, military guys all dancing and singing along. Turns out they weren't following me because of my vaping. I had worn shorts that were too tight for me because my good ones were in the wash and I accidently derailed the Chicago Gay Pride Parade from its normal route because of how incredibly fabulous (Their words, not mine) my .... looked in them (which is odd, because the shorts were from Bass Pro SHops, gay kryptonite normally) and they just wanted to ask me out. I said thanks but I was spoken for and then lead the crowd in a chorus of "YMCA" as a courtesy. Gay or straight, everyone loves that song!

OMG I just DIED. (In a good way) rotfl. Thank you for that! I was actually biting my nails thinking, "oh no, I hope these cops dont harass this guy". Well im glad it was just a parade of guys in "ymca gettup" thank God! Haha.
