I stretched the threads so badly that a tank would barely stay on! Mine was one of the early versions that had the dreaded ....-eyed connector issue, so I always backed-off the top cap to force the tank straight, and in doing so, I really put a hurtin' on those little brass threads. After I got some replacements I modified one of them and now I can proudly say that my tanks all fit flush and straight! (I should've sent the whole thing back when I first got it)

How did you modify the replacement? My tanks all sit a little high/unstable too and wondering if replacing the threads may improve it? I also have one of the first batch.

I like the 2.1 firmware mainly because each screen area now uses a font big enough for my old eyes to see.

As someone noted you can't change the home screen layout on this version, hopefully they will add in future.

You can change the temperature display to show watts (when in vv) or volts (when in vw) but only from the device itself - press button 3 times then right with control ring to select temperature area then left with control ring to change.

Found this by trial and error thought it might help someone out.

I modified the copper 510 pin. Replacing the connector won't change the spacing because all of the connectors are identical. (I inspected 5 of them with a micrometer hoping to find one that would fit better, but Joyetech's quality control was pretty good on these parts) The problem is the contact in the eVic control head and there's absolutely nothing that can be done with that.

I used a lathe to machine a radius (dome) on the large end of the 510 pin. I also shortened the pin by about a half of a millimeter to close the gap under my tanks. I may have increased the voltage drop a little by adding the radius, but if it did, it isn't noticeable. I also modified my buddy's center pin by removing about .3 - .4 mm off of his center pin. His gap wasn't as large as mine, and his didn't require a radius because his tanks sat straight.

You could easily modify your pin by hand with a fingernail file, or by sticking it in a cordless drill to speed up the process and make things easier on you. But you might want to buy a couple of back-up connectors before you try this: if you mess it up or take too much off, your eVic obviously won't work. And be cautious when handling the pin, they're made of very soft metal and can be destroyed pretty easily.

The Evic-S is definitely on my short list. One thing I'd like to see in the next iteration (Supreme V2?) is integrated Bluetooth with a smartphone app to make changes/load profiles etc.

Yes, a little surprised they didn't include it this time. Meantime if that functionality is really important you could try their eCom-BT though of course it has a lot less power and capacity so a different beast.

Here's a couple of pix of my modified 510 post. Not only did I add the dome on top, I also shortened a little to close up the gap.

You can actually see here how crooked the connector is on my eVic head. It was causing the center post to sit crooked in it's rubber insulator, which also caused the tanks to sit crooked becuase of all the slop in the 510 threads.

There will be one with all these features out within a couple of weeks. Check out the Smoktech BEC Pro (Bluetooth Electronic Cigarette Professional). They are already on Ebay for pre-order.

3 - 12 volts, 6 - 36 watts, 18650 tubular mod
IOS app is already available in the Apple App Store if you want to play around with what it can do.

Whoa... that is a sharp looking mod. The specs and features are impressive and the price is right. I'm not an early adopter so hopefully we'll see some reviews very soon.

Just got my evic supreme and I'm loving it. I think I've spent more time playing with the real time wastage adjustment features on my pc than I have actually vaping on it.
I am curious. Has anyone thought about adding a second battery tube and turning it into a two battery system? Will it even work?
I've heard pros and cons with this approach.
Any thoughts?

Did anyone watch Twisted420s latest vlog? He briefly showed the Eleaf Lemo. It converts the Evic Supreme into a hybrid. Phil Bushardo also showed this off a month or so ago. You take the top cap and 510 connection off and just screw it directly on. Should shorten the mod considerably. It's looks like a Kayfun type tank that holds 5ml and is rebuildable like the Kayfun. Fills from the bottom and has airflow control. I have one on the way. If anyone is interested, I'll let you know what I think of it.

Just gotta post on this thread because I haven't yet. I ordered my wife and I both an evic supreme a couple weeks ago, one of each finish and I love them both a lot, both for esthetics and function. And just because I'm always let down by my favorite things disappearing from the market, I got us two more as backups. Needless to say, I'm very happy with them. The protanks that came with them on the other hand.. I've done enough .....ing about them elsewhere, I'll spare you guys the time and headache.

Hi guys. Have been lurking on this thread but didn't want to post until I had my own evic supreme. Only have it for like 4 hours but very happy with it.

Setup: Evic supreme in SS with a siam mod 18350 tube and smiley bottom cap. For now I use it with a rebuilt aerotank mini (still waiting for my kayfun nano).

here are some pics of it (next to my sigelei mini zMax):

Long mode 18650

Short mode 18350

For now I've updated it to V2.1 (I like the simpler display) and I also found out that you can force the mod to accept 700mAh for the battery capacity if you change it on the myvapors software and then upload the settings.

Regards
Tony

This owners thread is kinda quiet... I guess people spend more time vaping than posting... :)

Anyway, I made two custom boot animations for the evic S today. Nothing fancy but different from the stock Joytech logo:

If someone wants the source bmp to use them in their evic, let me know.

I think you may be right - people are just vaping. I know I am because this thing just works.

I started off keeping it for home use, but with an Aerotank Mega and a Sony VTC5 it will go all day with my regular juice, so I've started using it for it and about as well. With the 2.1 firmware I can even make out the display in daylight.

Contrary here. I'm using the evic mainly outdoors except when I go to the beach or boating... In that case I bring my sigelei. At home I'm using the sigelei more... I think it's for the convenience of keeping the batteries charged and ready to go for the evic and also to spread the load among different modes. Kinda feel guilty just putting my sigelei aside...

After the many accidents I've had with the eVic S while out of the house, I've decided it's best to leave it home. I bring either the MVP2 or the iTaste VV when roaming now. The eVic S has stood up to everything - but for the price - I don't want to push my luck any further.

BTW - Anyone else using the Delta find that although it works awesome, the vape is a bit harsh / rough on the throat hit?
