can someone help me find the best battery to use for it im reading about emfest and icr batteries and cant find them online
Here are the batteries that i am using:
18650: Efest IMR 2000mAh 3.7v 18650 Battery
18350: Efest IMR 800mAh 3.7v 18350 Battery

Ether button top or flat top batteries will work. I also use this battery quite often: $10.03 Panasonic CGR18650CH Rechargeable 2250mAh 3.7V 18650 Lithium Batteries 2-pack - authentic cells / 2-pack at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

The charger i use is the nitecore i4: http://www.fasttech.com/products/14...ore-i4-v2-li-ion-ni-mh-ni-cd-smart-battery-ch

Hmm, not exactly sure why it does go right to the link. Let's try again.

eFest IMR18350 Button and Flat Top

Nope, still doesn't go right to the page. So when you get to the main page, just go to "Batteries", "IMR", then open the first one. It should be for a 2 pack of eFest IMR18350 batteries.

hmm im seem to be learning i been looking at the youtube videos and it seems quite simple so far... i just dont understand all this stuff about very low ohms and vape heaven and all the other things it can do but im going to buy one and use my evod on it until i can understand all this RBA and RDA stuff and getting it to low ohms

I see your join date is this month. So i'm assuming your are new to all this. If I were you, I'd forget about rbas and rdas for a bit. There are many options for you that do not including twisting your own coils and making your own wicks and so on.

Day to day just find a decent setup that works. It doesn't need to be all extravagant and so on. The vivi nova, the clearomizers, the carto tanks, and hell a plain old 510 atomizer can provide you with a perfectly good vape. These folks and myself among them are more or less hobbyists. You can go down that road yourself if you want to but I'd give it some time. I wouldn't buy anything new until you'e mastered all the basics like filling, cleaning, dry burning, figuring out Watts law, and just putting the time in with your reading.

Another thing you can do is watch PBusuardo videos. He does product reviews but he's really just a wealth of information for the vape community. You can learn a ton by watching him and others on you tube.

What I'm trying to say is, don't break your bank account buying new things until you know exactly what they do and what they are used for etc. Slow down and enjoy your vape.

A mechanical mod is a really good purchase though. Every vaper should have one in my opinion. If for the simple reason of an insurance policy against the FDA. The K100 has a good price point and fits the bill.

hey vape nerd... i really appreciate the knowledge... yea i was just reading about RBA and RDA and that seems a little out of my league at the moment.... i already have a mini vivi nova and evod and a t3 and i have them all at low resistance so im already guessing I'm a low resistance type of guy thats why I'm researching the k100 because i know it can be used as a LR in the future when i learn more about it...

what would you recommend for a new user like me with a ego t looking into buying the k100? what would be a good setup that will produce plenty vapor and taste?

Hey ladnar thanks for the help... I have an evod now what ohm resistance are you using? Can I see a pic of your k100?

Here is a picture of the K100 in 18350 mode with an evod. Shown next to my eVic to give an idea of size. (Pardon my messy desk, it is an area of controlled chaos :) )

Mine with aga-t2
Can you use protected batteries fine with this?
Also, how do you know when the battery is low? What would happen if you drained a battery right down?

Yes, you can use protected batteries.
When the battery gets low you get less vapor.
I ran one battery down to 3.02v and was getting almost no vapor.

How to Prolong Lithium-based Batteries - Battery University

Draining any li-ion battery too low could result in damage to the battery and decreased lifetime of the battery. Charging the battery before it drops below ~3.5V can greatly increase the number of charge cycles.

Draining a battery below 2.5V may kill it.

Thanks for that. You say in your review that you are a dedicated dripper. What is a "dripper"?
That's not me in the video. But a dedicated dripper does not use clearos or tanks, they just drip a few drops of juice directly on the atomizer (as you saw him do in the video) for better flavor.

If you are using the evod, and the vivi nova I really wouldnt do anything different. I'd get the lowest ohm heads you can. The vivi heads come in 1.8ohms and I think that is going to be fine paired with the K100. I know there are Kanger people who can help you with the bottom coil type tanks. I've used them but it's not my forte. I don't care for them, but many people do. It's posible that the Evod offers a low ohm head too. The other thing w/ evods or kanger products is you MAY need an adapter for it to work right on the k100. These are usually very cheap like 3-6$. Check with the Kanger afficianados.

You could also try dripping. All you need is a low resistance atomizer, either a 510 or a 306. Avid vaper is well known for high quality "cisco-spec" atomizers. Dripping is probably not something you'd do everyday during your work week but its a nice change of pace when you have the time and don't need to be running around. I'm about to go home and drink myself a good ale with some Casablance from Backwoods Brew.

Dripping is just dripping drops of eliquid onto an atomizer. You drop between between 2-8 drops on the atomizer through a drip tip. Then vape it directly off the atomizer.

A lot of newbs who've only seen cartos and clearos don't know what a real atomizer looks like, but it's just a very short piece of metal sorta like a carto but does have any batting. It's usually a metal mesh material and you directed drip onto that mesh and then vape.

Evod coils are availible at 1.5 ohms and 1.8 ohms. I use both resistance levels with my evods on the k100. Aso, no adapter needed for either the evod or the protank on the k100.

Excellent info. Though I thought I read on both the gotvapes site and the fasttech site that an adapter was needed. Could have been for the t2 or t3.

Good luck with the new mech mod OP. Let us know how you like it.
