The istick TC 100W will only put out 75W on a single battery just like the Pico does.

Exactly.

It's always been able to run in single cell/75W mode (it's the rare parallel batt config)... though I doubt more than a handful of users have ever left the house prepped to use it that way.


eta: Uh oh... I have the non-TC predecessor istick 100 sitting here (sad and unused ) so I just checked ...

Also parallel sled, but no wattage restriction with just the one cell installed.

So I checked the 100TC and it goes all the way up as well... but I have AF installed and don't feel like reflashing the JT firmware to see if that caps at 75W.
I thought it did... but it's been so long.

Anyone care to report?

Sounds sensible.

I don't know yet what happens with an AF update, but JoyeTech made an odd, perhaps dangerous decision with all of their updatable JT, ELeaf and Wismec mods... a firmware update resets the wattage in power mode to maximum.
(or it still did last I checked a few months ago)

I can't even imagine which exec thought that was a good idea.

From what I can see only a few colors are offered. I'm probably going to get a couple more Picos for the stockpile, but all black, and that's not one of the available colors. I started using a Pico pretty much all day every day last year and since then I haven't seen another mod that looks any better for me.

The Pico is my daily device of choice these days. In six months of use the battery cap and firing button have worn to a copper color. I wish Eleaf had charged a little more and put on a good chrome finish that would last. It seems that price points rule over quality these days.

I'm going to buy a couple more all black picos for the stash. They have to be ALL black. I already use a black silicone sleeve. A few dollars diffence doesn't matter but I'd take the deal if all black was a choice. I wonder if Picos are the best selling mod on the planet. Well, except they don't appeal to the cloud people.

Update Pico B now lives in car ad emergency back up. Nearly a year at 30mls a day and its still works fine the screen is a bit faded the paint is near new. I am preparing for a trip and wanted my usb access just in case so Pico C up to bat...all good until my dog went on 'possum hunting duty' this morning and jerked me around enough to make me drop my new set up...i dont drop mods/attys..Pico C held up but my Atty is crooked now...but everything is working fine....i will take everything apart this weekend to see if i can straighten it up. Fingers crossed!

I found old video from indoor smoker he did a compression play for the tank only on a desk in a hotel room..it worked for him...it worked for me for a minute then the problem returned after i moved the jc,....going to wait until this weekend..eyes too tired right now..

lol, glad to help. I am not all that young and only been doing the smartphone/tablet thing a few years myself because I was trying to keep my monthly cell bill as cheap as possible (I work from home on the internet, din't see a need for mobile web so out of the house was like a mini no internet vaca) but now I couldn't live without it.

I Know the Feeling...although i rarely uśe cellphone internet...at home my computer set up was 'a control station ' 3 monitors..i took it down after i played around with my laptop...but i can't get much done without at least 2 monitors. So the past few weeks i have been trying to get used to a tablet for my travels. So far it's ok if i don't want to write much...but i miss my control station haha..could maybe get by with laptop ±1 extra monitor...

Wanted to have the internet with me when I'm out and about...but have NO interest in making/receiving phone calls...(or paying cell phone charges)...

For $70 ...what more could I want?

This may be a silly question, but I ordered a Pico recently, one of those $20 listed recently from volcano. I actually ordered 2, 1 was delivered today and I ordered the second 1 yesterday and hasn't been delivered yet. Now the box wasn't wrapped in plastic and the mod also didn't have any plastic or stickers protecting it. I only have a few mods to date but I swear every box was wrapped in plastic and each device also had some sort of plastic or stickers on the device/screen etc. I actually never paid much attention because they all clearly came wrapped as any electronic device would. If I remember correctly my black 75w kit which came with the Mello tank had a plastic sleeve type thing over the device itself. It did pass the authentication from the scratch code but it almost seems like a display device or one that was returned....and the authentication code is only on the box, the devices themselves have no identitying numbers
So my question is does a new Pico 75w come in a box wrapped in plastic,,, and/or the device itself??

All three of mine came in boxes wrapped with clear in plastic. I can't remember where on the box it is, but there is a QR code that can be scanned. That takes you to the Eleaf website where you can enter the code found beneath the scratch off.
