Being fairly new to vaping, some things just confuse me and this is one of them...Yesterday I went to my B&M store and tried the new leaf istick 30 watt battery and found that the vape at 6.8 watts was airy and lack luster. Now I used those numbers because that's where I vape on my eleaf iStick 20 watt. The 30 watt read my atty correctly (1.9 ohms), volts, registered the same (3.5 volts) but I had to jack the thing up to 10 watts to get the same vape as my 20. Any idea what may have been going on? Also, I guess I'm not new anymore, I hope this is the right place to post my questions with 70+ postings:p I need to add that with the additional wattage, came additional heat from my vape. I changed my post because from 17 views, no ideas/replies

I've heard similar things about that, the 20's ran hot and they fixed some issues ... just adjust to your new wattage :)

Sounds simple enough, but as a additional note, I noticed additional heat from the vape as well. I know, I know, more power, more heat, but I didn't experience this with the 20 watter. Oh big red line under "watter" Thanks for the reply anyway...guess some things just can't be answered.

You could try a higher ohm head ;)

I've been locked out of posting questions in the new members location due to 80+ posts. Am I in the right place now?

Basically, the 20W was set to MEAN instead of the standard RMS, so it was about 1 volt hotter than the displayed setting. So if you ran it @ 3.5 volts on your 20W, that's closer to 4.5 volts on the 30 (give or take).

General advice with regulated mods is to dial low to start and adjust to taste, depending on your build and liquid of choice.
