As you might of seen or heard Ehpro came out with a Dual Airflow KFL+ V2. So is it worth it?

I've used and build several version of the KFL's over the last few months. From different clone to authentic. So I have extensive history with the atty.

As we all know the KFL depending on version and how hard you drawn is some what restrictive and whistles depending on the users. If you use RDA's you find it very restrictive then a tank or carto user.

I received mine this afternoon, promptly went to work tearing it down. Same Ehpro quality, and poor Ehpro cleaning. Metal still on the interior air chamber and air-holes. Same center pin that is not sticking out enough to use on a hybrid adapter. They added double o-rings to the drip tip and they appear to be Orange Viton now. juice channels might be a hair deeper, and I do mean just a hair, with out breaking out the micrometers it's unknown. Everything else was the same except the second air-hole into the air chamber.

I did drill out the center pin shaft and horizontal holes with a #51 bit while it was apart. Reassembled and lined up the center pin holes with the base air-holes (which Ehpro doesn't do from factory 90% of the time).

With the adjustments all the way out, but still in... the draw was slightly looser. Now this might be because I drilled out the center pin more so then the second air-hole. The whistling is greatly reduced. Vapor production was slightly better, again it could be because of the center pin modification more then the second air-hole.

I was able to increase the wattage more and the vape was somewhat cooler. The base wasn't getting as hot because of more air moment through the material.

Overall, I am happy with it, but didn't live up to expectations as I expected. I feel it's an improvement, a few different ways, but I feel somebody could get similar results by modifying the center pin. I don't feel the other minor changes would constitute running out to buy all new ones to replace your current working KFL+ V2 of any flavor. But if you are in the market for a new RBA, then this is definitely a quality device like other Ehpro devices and you will be happy with the functionality of the unit.

This comparision was done with identical setups, coil, wick, tip and juice and done on a DNA30 mod.

Just my :2c: and information for those that may be thinking about purchasing one or running out to replace theirs.

Thanks for the review. Too bad that manufacturers don't take the time to properly clean their product so that they will work right out of the box. :glare: Not speaking to EHPro in particular, but all of them.

I wonder why manufacturers are using such small holes by default when the most common complaint about the Kayfun-style tanks is their inadequate air intake and tight draw? Could it be related to the negative pressure/vacuum system that these tanks depend upon?

I actually been in contact with Ehpro trying to get my suggestions heard as well as trying to encourage them to drop the trademark as they keep coming out with new versions.

But somebody needs to buy these companies some Dawn and pipe cleaners.
