Hi,

I was outside work smoking with a couple of work colleagues and this e-cig sales guy came up to us and pitched e-cigs to us and let us try it out. We were kind of laughing but when we tried it we all agreed it tasted pretty good.

He was selling starter packs for £5 (1 battery with 2xcartridges) and 2/3 of us gave it a go.

As soon I started smoking it I found the craving for cigs to vanish. The next day instead of smoking c. 10-15 cigs I smoked just 2 along with vapor! These things work! :)

My e-cigs ran out of juice so I am back on analogs already not enjoying them which is good as I am now very confident that I will soon quit them! I have e-cigs on order and cant wait for them to arrive and say goodbye to analogs!

Whats been your experience with them?

Hi! Welcome, it was similair for me, once I tried my first e-cig I knew I could replace smoking with them, its taken a couple of different starter packs (510 and now EGO) to get comfortable with the right PV and now I am exploring the flavour options. I have been cig free for 23 Days and counting :)
I hope it works out for you and if you have questions you have come to the right place!! Good luck and keep us posted on your journey. I love reading peoples stories it helps keep me on track and motivated.

Welcome to ecf.....
Sounds like you already know ecigs work.....the main thing when starting out is to have plenty of supplies on hand so you don't have to resort back to analogs(cigs). So tell us what you ordered and why and the type of ejuice. You can get your 5 post here in the new members forum and then you can post anywhere in the forum. We have people from all over the world here.
As you can tell by my signature, I know ecigs work. And I have loved every minute of it. And plan to always vape. I still have fun at trying new mods and new flavors.
Happy vaping.
:)

Hi Say...
That's a Kewl story!

Because I didn't know any better, I tried for almost 2 years to make a 100% switch to vaping, but my hardware was not powerful enough, my nic level was too low (18mg), and my 1st (and almost last) order of juice tasted like old vomit. 8-o

Anywhoo, I vaped as much as I could stand, while continuing to use analogs as needed...until this past September: I upgraded to a more powerful e-cig and I found some juice that I strongly PREFER over analogs. THAT was what pushed me over the edge into success!

If you're just starting out, I figure it's OK to do whatever you have to do, to get to the point where you find what's going to work for you. When you find the combination of hardware, nic level and juice flavor that you PREFER over analogs, you'll make the switch.

For the last 6 weeks, not only am I breathing fresh air, but I SMELL GOOD, too!

Glad to meet you. I'm a newb too, but WELCOME!

EDIT: I went with an Ego-T, but currently have dropped the tanks in favor of 2.4 Fluxomizers from Gotvapes.com. I still use the Ego batts. (Fluxomizers are a carto size tanks, deliver good taste and vape extremely well with slight modifications.)

Great story! My last 2 packs of cigarettes were bought about 2 days after buying ecigs. I bought them "just in case" bc hurricane Irene threatened the East Coast and I didn't want to be without. Took about 2 drags (after 25 years of smoking) and nearly died - they were nasty. I don't think I could go back if I wanted to - vaping is like the antianalog- it just turned me right off.

So glad that you found the ECF and that you are enjoying the ecigs. The vets here will help you through the learning curve. Make sure to check out the approved vendors on the site - they are very selective here - helps you to avoid dealing w/ unscrupulous vendors.

What a great story. Grab an ecig and join the fun. The transition to vaping is easier than it sounds and more rewarding than you can imagine.

My 2 cents: A Fat Batt is a great PV. Long battery life, nice hit with a 2.0 ohm cartomizer or atomizer and more satifying than a cigarette-sized PV. KGO brand has the warmest cigarette-like hit and an 11 hour battery life then Rivas and eGos. Any of those 3 are winners. Happy shopping and good luck :)

I let my brother do the research for me. He was about 9-10 months Vaping (including building his own) when he loaned me a Volt at our Fireworks convention. I went from 1 1/2 packs a day to 1/2 pack a day almost overnight. At the end of the week I bought it off him and as soon as I got home ordered my own kit. My last pack lasted me over three weeks. The last three I smoked out of desperation when my battery died were unsatisfying.
I love my Volt for its ease of use and the way it mimics my old habit without all the nasty that came with it.
Plus at convention I was standing on a flatbed truck loaded with about 500,000 firecrackers and could VAPE AWAY with no concern of danger. I could not have gone within 50' of that truck with an analog!

Hey hey! I started about 3-4 weeks ago with a KR-808D2/E9, that I purchased at local smoke shop, which at the time I only knew as Fuma. I liked it right from the get go. When I was told a pack of 5 carts for 16.99 was equal to a carton , I thought; Wow thats great, I can buy one pack of these carts a week and Ill be saving money and Ill be covered for my nicotine craving! However, the first pack of carts lasted only 2 days; quickly I realized that wasn't going to work for me, and by that time I knew about e-liquid and concluded 5 cartomizers for 17 dollars with really only drips of juice in them, was making someone a fortune and leaving me broke.

So I switched to the eGo-T type B, after sifting through countless ECF pages and youtube videos. The tank system was quite appealing, so much so that I ignored all reviews claiming it had no flavor, and leaked like a faucet. Which in my opinion is very true. However, I must praise the eGo-T for keeping me from cigarettes since the time that it arrived. It does deliver plenty of vapor and I mainly ordered higher mgs of nicotine/ml, so it does take care of my cravings and then some. In fact to that end I feel that it has been ridiculously easy to lay off the smokes since I've had the eGo-T. I vape heavy, but hey, I've had no symptoms of nic OD so who cares?

I currently have orders on the way for Fluxomizer Deluxes and juice from some of the hyped vendors such as Alienvisions, Backwoods Brew, Vaperite etc., in my search for more flavor than the eGo-T can provide. Overall my experience has been great so far, haven't had an analog in 13 days, and am enjoying the seemingly massive culture of vaping that I have discovered! Thanks.
