Hi and welcome, although you stated that you drink water afterwards, you may want to drink more throughout your day. I cannot presume to know what your diet and liquid habits are like but if you have dry mouth it could be because your body is finding it cannot handle the new draw on the moisture in it's system. If you increase your water intake for a week or two then reevaluate the situation it may just work it's self out. Also some say that pg in e liquid give some people a sore throat. Maybe in time you might want to look at that as something to play with.

Good luck and hang in there, light

Thanks for the replies!

I definitely will increase my water intake overall, but especially while I'm vaping.

Last night was probably the worst. I was sitting on my couch, watching TV, vaping away (something my wife would NEVER let me do with analogs), and my mouth became horribly dry. I drank glass after glass of water and it didn't seem to help. Running to the bathroom every five minutes presented its own problems.

BTW, speaking of vaping inside, I LOVE how I can puff away on my Blu like a cigarette on my couch, in my home office, car or wherever and not have to worry about the smoke and awful smell of analogs lingering around. Even my home office, which doesn't have the best ventilation (in my basement), the smell from my vaping disappears very fast. My wife has a sensitive nose and she can never smell it.

But I digress. The only negative of vaping I've found so far is the dry mouth. I can live with that. More annoying than anything. If it gets me to drink more water and stay better hydrated, then that's just one more benefit of vaping. Lol.

There's an interesting poll in the Polls sub forum on this site called PG vs VG :Dehydration. I guess its different for each of us but that poll has around two thirds of respondents finding VG the least dehydrating of the two. i had looked at the poll after becoming fed up with having to drink so much water. After seeing the poll I tried VG (I'd always been 100% PG) and for me it helped. I did enjoy the extra clouds of vape from VG but missed the TH and flavour i'd got with PG. So now if I want a break from the PG which makes me thirsty, I use around 40%PG/60%VG which works for me. I guess each person has to experiment a bit, it helped me that I mix my own, but theres plenty vendors who do a wide range of mixes.

If you are drinking plenty of water and still getting heavy dry mouth, you might want to consider eating a banana once in a while, especially before a vaping session. The reason I suggest this is because 1.) it will help coat your mouth, 2.) it will help counteract an over-abundance of sodium, which is a very common condition. Also, if you are taking any kind of medications you may need to check for possible side effects there and see your physician. (Disclaimer: I am not a doctor, nor have I played one on television. Heck, I didn't even stay at a HI Express last night! This is just my opinion based on practical experience.) :2c::p

You got :D because you typed a colon with a capital "D" next to it without a space. If you had typed "PG vs VG: Dehydration" you wouldn't have been so happy.

Back on topic: I drink lots of water, but it doesn't help the dryness in the back of my throat. I find milk works better for that.
