Wash the battery with a damp cloth with disinfectent cleaning supplies. As for your top piece, if possible boil it, not sure which one you have. Then let it all air dry. If you can't boil the top, then do the same as the battery, but you might not be able to get the inside very well. Remember when boiling parts, you never want them to touch the actual pot, use a straining stiring tool of sorts, place the parts in it, and hold it where all the parts are just under the water. Just 20 seconds, bring it out for a minute or so, then put it back in for 20 seconds, repeat this a few times.

Other then that, try not to think about the fact it's been in the place where hundreds of other people have pooped. Best of luck. :)

Let it go, man.
Please, this! I'd never be able to put it anywhere near me again, much less fish it out.

Con flabbided shirt pockets. I've dropped everything from a timepiece, several pens, a lighter, my (old)phone, and cigarillos into a john before. And I still keep things in that dumb pocket all the time. I'll never learn.

Should've just left it there. Next dude in the stall would've been puzzled for weeks what the heck went on prior to his visit. Or maybe thought it was a bomb and had the entire facility closed down.

No question the devices could be saved and made perfectly sanitary again. That being said, if it was a cheapo out and about device, I wouldn't go to the effort. There are devices that are worth saving, but I can't think of a single one in my first six months of vaping that would fall into that category. The very high end gear, would still be in my collection after taking probably all of the suggested steps for doing so mentioned above. For what it's worth, my Provari has fallen into the dishwater at the kitchen sink. Placed in a bag of rice, disinfected, and use it every day. Keep in mind that most APV's won't survive a soaking of some disinfectants. The Provari is one though that will and is recommended for cleaning periodically. That's why it uses an LED vs. an OLED that won't survive such treatment.

A drunk walks into the bathroom at the bar to do what anyone would have to do after five or six beers. As he's takin' care of business, he sees a dime there in the urinal. He thinks to himself, "I'm not dumb enough to stick my hand in there for a measly dime." He fishes a quarter out of his pocket and tosses it into the urinal alongside the dime.

"Awesome! Thirty-five cents!" he exclaims as he's fishing out his new found wealth...

Sorry to hear this happened to you! As most have said it could be sanitized properly and be perfectly fine if you are the type of person who could get past the thought of where it had been. Studies have shown that the first stall in a public restroom is always the cleanest. Why??...who knows maybe everyone passes up the first...or maybe the cleaning lady does a great job on that one and then gets a bit more lax as she goes?? Were you in the first stall by any chance?? AND, after the release of the study I always use the first stall, as I am sure many others who know of the study now do the same. LOL, sorry...seriously though studies have also proven that there is more bacteria on a lemon peel than in most public toilets. I never allow anyone to put a lemon or lime in my drink unless of course there is enough alcohol like a shot of tequila or a good stout margarita to kill the germs. :p

I would clean it and vape on. God know many of us have had worse things in out mouths!
