Do your taste buds work like this?

At certain times of the day juice tastes stronger than others. Often when I first wake up it's almost too strong of a flavor, then other times I can barely taste it. It varies throughout the day.

Is there something we can use to cleanse the pallet to get a consistent flavor every time? I'm a DIYer and can't find a happy medium between too strong and too weak that works consistently.

Maybe my taste buds are broken.

I've notice when I first wake up my juice is way stronger, almost too strong. But the rest of the day I get a fairly consistent taste unless my cotton is getting old. I think our first morning vape tastes stronger because our mouths have had time to clear. And when we take our first vape it feels stronger but I think we numb our taste buds a little by constantly using them. Not enough to notice until we first wake up.

I cleanse my pallet by just rinsing my mouth with mouth wash when I feel I'm losing my taste. It helps. Also, some people feel that vaping a menthol type flavor helps to cleanse it as well. I like wintergreen from time to time so I use that sometimes. Others say just smelling straight coffee grounds will help.

I'll try that. Maybe it depends on certain foods also.

even after 4 years of vaping I still find with my first vape of the morning the flavor is a bit to much. I vape several flavors during the day and have no real problem with flavor drop. I have 7 different flavors loaded and ready to go at a moments notice. One is a menthol, one orange, one a fruit (pear today) and the rest are bakery type flavors. It seems to keep my flavors flavorful.

Some call it vapers tongue. A more fancy term is olfactory fatigue

Not for this reason alone... but I prefer a very very low flavoring content. Just makes for what I percieve as a fresher vape. It's not just my taste buddies that grow tired of sensory overload.

In one sense, you could say that less is more when it comes to flavoring. Give it a shot :)

That's an idea. 15% is normally what I use for everything unless I hear otherwise. It's hard to base that on reviews since some people's taste buds are more sensitive than others. I'm the type who can eat pickled jalapenos so I like it on the strong side usually.

I may be completely wrong (again). My thinking is: If it's too much in the morning, it's too much all day - except later in the day your taste buddies have "put up their defenses".

Have to admit I'm on thin ice... Just thinking out loud.

That's possible. Although I just ate some cheese and crackers and can barely taste it now.

Maybe weaker morning juice and stronger evening? I dunno maybe I'll just try the bourbon.
