Hey,

I had a cold a few month ago. Therefore, I wasn't able smell fish even if I wanted to and almost everything tasted pretty much like nothing. When I woke up and felt better I took a drag from my beloved ecig and it tasted like COMPLETE BURNT GARBAGE! I was kinda shocked I had vaped that for probably 1 1/2 days...

Having in mind that my taste buds (of course) aren't perfect, I made the experience that the same thing applies to very strong flavors. I usually use 0,2ml of spearmint flavor (FA) on 30ml and its hilariously strong for that amount of flavor. Now, I feel like I never really had a burnt cartomizer using my spearmint juice. All of them were more or less replaced because they just didn't taste good anymore or there was a very very slight hint of burning in the very background of what could be tasted.

What is all this romance about? I'm wondering if people using very strong flavors (especially in cartomizers) notice burning filler material too late or not at all while vaping happily and producing cloud after cloud...

Post didn't make a lot of sense to me.

If you are saying you may not have noticed Carto failure due to sinus blockage, possibly. With working taste buds you should notice diminished flavor long before burning a carto. Trying to suck out that last drop of e-liquid will definitely result in a burnt carto.

It's not about diminishing flavor but rather about a very strong flavor that covers the actual burnt taste. This is what I was wondering about because you're right: I usually notice in advance if a cartomizer is going to fail anytime soon but it might be different with strong flavors so that it has to be extremly harsh in order to notice it through all that flavored taste. Hope I made my point clear now ;)

I know when my cartomizers are going to burn. Mostly because they have been my go to, for juice delivery. Burning is common in the beginning. You're used to puffing on burning tobacco. After you use them for a while you can taste when the carto is starting to get dry. Mint is one of my favorite vapes, and I always have a carto of it. For me it does not cover any burnt flavor. It should always taste crisp and clean. Vanilla is probably the worst for me having burning without noticing.

This is why I don't use carto's anymore. You shouldn't have to purchase strong juice to cover up the burnt taste of carto's; just get to the root cause and do away with what's causing the burnt taste- your carto's. Rebuildables are the only way to go in my book
