Hey guys going on a Carnival cruise on Sunday.
Was hoping someone could fill me in on their security procedures for check-in and what their viewpoint on vaping is.
I have never been on one before and want to know if I am still good or if I should bring my stealth set-up only.

If you do call, post your findings - i have a cruise in march and I just assumed it would be cool if I brought it with me... Glad you thought of asking for me :)

Security just check for booze and weapons. Last year at this time they were opening all pop and water case and checking individual cans. Made the line up about 2 hrs long. Your gear and juice are fine as long as you are taking small bottles. Pack them with your toiletries.

The rules have changed since my last cruise on them.

Right off the carnival website

Effective on voyages departing October 9, 2014, or thereafter, all staterooms and suite accommodations are entirely smoke free, including the outside balcony. This policy includes all forms of smoking, including but not limited to, cigarettes, cigars, electronic cigarettes, and personal vaporizers.
Cigarette, E-cigarette and personal vaporizer smoking will continue to be allowed in designated exterior open deck areas, as well as in our night clubs (except Carnival Sunshine), on ships with designated jazz clubs (See ships below), and in certain areas within the casino (for playing guests) and casino bar.
Cigar and pipe smoking will continue to be allowed in designated exterior open deck areas and in jazz clubs (where available).
Note: Guests who smoke in their staterooms or on their balconies will be assessed a $250 cleaning and refreshing fee on their Sail & Sign account. Information on this fee is included in Carnival's cruise ticket contract. Guest agrees to strictly comply with Carnival’s non-smoking policy.

The following ships have designated Jazz Clubs: Carnival Conquest, Carnival Freedom, Carnival Glory, Carnival Liberty, Carnival Splendor, Carnival Triumph, Carnival Valor and Carnival Victory.

Same as any hotel these days.
Basically, it's if the maid reports that your room smells like smoke.
I've vaped to my hearts content in hotel rooms - think the maid is going to report, "room 1327 smells like banana smoothie, and there's a battery charger in here!!!"?

Omg cleaning fee for vaping anything to make a buck.

how would they know if anyone vaped(non tobacco flavors)

Didn't know hotel policy, I've stayed in several and concur. I usually stash my vape stuff though... But I also have a little one running around...

We leave out of Galveston tx ..... Going to Montego Bay Jamaica, grand cayman,...and Cozumel

Nice! Going out of galveston to Cozumel on a 3 day in Feb/March. My first, so we didn't want to over do it. I really wanna visit Jamaica, so if all goes well, maybe we'll do that next (in 2016/2017)

"The eye in the sky is watching us all."

Not allowed to have cameras in the rooms ;)

They DO have cameras that keep an eye on balconies. Especially after 'accidents' where people have fallen overboard. If you stay close to your door, you should be fine. Closer to the rail....yeah, you're on camera.

I have vaped in the cabin. Just don't blow clouds and you'll be fine. Smoke lingers and creates a scent that is easy to detect. Vaping really doesn't. Of course that is with the required disclaimer 'Some liquids do create a scent that is more noticeable than others'.

Know your liquids.

PSA service is concluded at this time.

Enjoy your cruise!!!!!!!!!! :D
