Cotton wick taste

Thanks for all the replies. I think it is a combination of wicking it to tight and needed to give it a little more time to break in. I was wetting the coils with juice before putting the chiminey back on.

But A huge thanks to VapoJoe86. I had read a few threads on Rayon and been wanting to try it but most online vendors were out of stock on it as Tencel. Your info to get cellucotton at the beauty supply gives me a local source I can get 10 feet for $2 to try it out.

I pull it straight out of the box, wick, prime and vape.

I use this: Graham CelluCotton Cotton Coil. 12 bux for 300 feet! I won't even finish that box in my lifetime.

Another vote for rayon here. I think some people are just more sensitive to the cotton flavor than others. I could almost get rid of it using really good Japanese cotton in just the right thickness, but it was ALWAYS there. Maybe I just noticed it more because I was so used to SS wicks before I ever tried cotton, but I was always disappointed. Organic cotton balls were the worst. Just a hair too much and everything tasted like wet laundry.

More like 24,000 wicks. I've had my box for about a month now and I think I might have used 2 feet and a lot of that just ended up in the trash.

That's another benefit with rayon. The stuff wicks better than cotton and lasts a whole lot longer as well. I got 11 days out of my Plume Veil before I needed to change out the wick. Others have gotten over 100ml of juice through theirs in RBAs. Amazing stuff!

HOLY CRAP, what a difference. I just stop by local beauty supply, they were out of the small 10ft bag so I got the medium box. $12.64 after tax for 500ft. Still not completely full flavor but I may have to adjust to the lack of silica taste. But no other flavor at all and super smooth draw. I am bad for chain vapin and the silica and cotton both would need a rest period. This stuff just keeps hitting away. And I seem to get more vapor on each draw. I will never use anything but this again. And for the price, crap with 500ft at the width the cord is I won't have to buy more wick material till sometime in the 2030's and that's with redoing mine and my GF's for a total of 6 tanks right now.
