Signing for anything suckth big time. I have a smartphone coming tomorrow. I am disconcerted that the phone may be smarter than I.

Worry not, TO! As someone with experience in this area, sometimes it comes in handy. Most of them have a little calculator, built in, that constantly blows my mind with its accuracy! I'm constantly thinking, "How'd it DO that???"

Going from a standard fixed voltage eGo to a Provari is what made me give up the last of my cigarettes. I was down from 2 PAD to about 6.

I don't regret the money I spent on my Provari at all. It's still my top vape. A few months ago I bought a Sigelei Zmax V3 and I like it, too. It's stainless steel like the Provari. The Provari is more rounded and smoothed on the edges and has a nicer satin finish.

Durable doesn't describe the Provari's robustness well enough, IMO. I've posted a few times about how mine has survived numerous drops on concrete. Sometimes, if the tank hits first the leverage pops the Provari top cap out a half a MM or so, but I just unscrew the tank and invert the Provari on a hard surface and give it a rap on the battery end. All is fine after that. The atomizer connector is a slip fit bevel with a red o-ring in a groove that press fits into the tube. That's a great design, IMO.

Sometimes, it hits on the battery end or flat on the concrete. If I look really close I can see tiny scratches or maybe a ding, but they aren't noticeable at all. The SS in the Provari seems to be high grade and hard.

I wouldn't even look at anything made of aluminum. The SS mods out there are better in terms of durability. An aluminum tube usually means aluminum threads. Changing the battery daily results in rapid wear.

What sets the Provari apart, as Baditude said, is the stateside service. Provape's repair prices are reasonable and the turn around is quick. You pay for the shipping to them and they pay the return fee. Most people say they get theirs back in a week to 10 days. That's good, quick service. Mine will be going back for some minor repairs soon, but I haven't had to send it in yet and I've owned mine for almost two years. It still works fine, but the display has slipped slightly to the left and covers the edge of the left digit. I bought the $24.95 second year warranty and it's about to pay off.

And, I agree with Baditude that once you buy a Chinese mod the second time because the first one stopped working, you could have had a Provari. If China opened a repair service stateside, it would boost their sales. For now, Provape and a few others own the repairable mod market.
