I will tell you in one word why you should buy a Provari, and Im quite sure others will agree...Ready...Here it is....QUALITY!!!!!! The following holds true to everything in life "The quality of poor workmanship lingers long after a cheap price is forgotten." This is particularly true in electronics and implements of our fine "hobby" (as my wife says it is). I'd rather spend a few extra dollars for craftsmanship than have to spend the same amount in the end after purchasing several cheaper products of the same nature.

I don't own a provari but I have tried one from a friend for 3 days. I do own 2 dna20's a vamo 3 a nemesis and an Atomo, after 3 days I reached my conclusion, I don't need one due to the fact that my dna's and my vamo are as good, not same quality build but they all do the same work, just regulated batterys.

But for the Provari people I have to say build quality is very high.

So if you want one get one, they been talked and raved, American built and good quality.

Does it matter if they are button or flat top batteries?

Only button top IMR batteries will work in a Provari. In fact, attempting to put magnets on flat top batteries in a Provari voids the warranty. AW recommends using only AW IMR button top batteries at least 5 times on their website.

Be careful where you buy your AW batteries. They are the most popular batteries and also the most counterfeited. RTD Vapor is a safe vendor to buy authentic AW batteries as well as from Provape.

Direct from the Provape website (on the middle of the page when you go to products/ProVari) At the end of the info section just before the listing for the products.

Battery Tip

Batteries - We only recommend using approved 18490 and 18650 batteries in the ProVari. All of the batteries that we sell on our website have been tested to work with the ProVari and these are the only cells you should use. There is a big difference between all the different batteries on the market and a lot of testing has been done on these various batteries. The reason we recommend using high drain cells is because these cells can output more current providing the ProVari with the power it needs to operate properly. There are a number of batteries that will cause issues including the Trustfire, Ultrafire and other brands. These batteries cannot handle higher current output and the battery will turn off while in use or cause a low battery alert much sooner than it should because the batteries have a high internal resistance. Please make sure you get the proper batteries to use in the ProVari to avoid problems.

I love my Provari,,,,,I find the vape is smoother, fuller, the vapor is denser,,,,,,,,

the MVP2 is a great PV for the price,,,,,but eventually it will break or the battery won't hold a charge anymore,,,,,,,,and you'll have to buy another.

for some people, that's perfect,,,,,,tehy want something new or another after a year or so anyway,,,,,,

some people (me) want something that will keep working for years, be fixable if it DOES break,,,,,,,,

the important thing is to use what ever you get,,,,,,,,,only you can make that choice,,,,,,,,

I want to know this also as my wife is using a V2 but the 510 threads are wearing out & the pro tank doesn't want to stay on.
Also how long have you been using your Vamo no matter the version?

:vapor: louis :vapor
Is that a vamo V or a provari V2?

Didn't read full thread

I've owned a knockoff lava tube, and 2 Vamo's since I've started vaping over a year ago. The difference is night and day in quality. I can't notice whether my battery if freshly charged, or @ 3.5V's because the firing is consistent nomatter what voltage the provari is set at (after all, the fire button blinks when it's time to recharge the battery in it anyway and has over-discharge protection along with voltage regulation, reverse battery protection, and other bells and whistles).

As for a vtr, idk. I never used one. But comparing a provari to a vamo (IMHO) really isn't a fair match at all. Out of the 3 china mods I owned, they all broke on me in 6 months or less.

As for price, if you have the coin, the provari will not by any means let you down at all. The price seems scary, but it's worth every last penny. I work as an auto mechanic, dropped this thing multiple times on different surfaces at different heights in different climates, and it still keeps going strong. It's a very solid well built and designed product. It's a 2 thumbs up from me. I love my V2.5.

There are other great "elite" mods out there too. But for me, the provari is my choice. If you're coming off a vamo to a provari, it'll be like coming from a 4 cyl. honda civic to a fully loaded LS1 Corvette.

There are many choices out there. Pick the one best suited for you.

(P.S. If you were looking to build micro coils and "sub-ohm" vaping, you'll want to look into the realm of mechanical.. But proceed with extreme caution in regards to the safety liabilities and hazards that pursue it as these mods ( by nature) are NOT regulated in any way to prevent a dangerous battery hazard.)

I bought one cause i can not afford to replace mod after mod. I am really considering getting a second one. Not cause i need one but because my wife insisted on a zmax (that i did get her) and my fear is one day she will drop it (cause she is clumsy like that for that matter she dropped my provari and broke my tank) and then she will have nothing. If i get myself another one and have a back up then when she does break her zmax she will have my old provari as a back up. And by old i mean i have only had mine since nov. I love this thing. I have no desire to use anything else. it just works and works well. Seems like every other day we have to fiddle with the wifes zmax cause it wont fire or gives some kind of error. the provari works and has never not worked unless i built my coil too low.

Signing for anything suckth big time. I have a smartphone coming tomorrow. I am disconcerted that the phone may be smarter than I.

I know that feeling...I have yet to figure out all this Note 3 can do, and Im pretty darn computer/electronic gadget inclined!!! I can trouble shoot vehicle electrical and ECU problems, but I can't figure out something on my phone??? Sheesh....
