As far as I am concerned, NO.
Do yourself a favor and avoid cigalikes. They are a waste of time and money. Why do you think the FDA and Big Tobacco only want cigalikes to be on the market after August 2016? Follow the money.

There is life between cig a likes and big mods. Not everyone wants to hit 30 watts on day one. There are actually very few cig a likes that are not one of 3 or 4 models. A fresh charged 808 is one of the best. You can pay 10 bucks or 149. Same product more or less.
I think people advanced quickly to other devices because the cig a likes are just not satisfying.
The ONLY semi-cigalike I have heard of that gets decent reviews (but it's pricey to vape with) is the Pax Juul. Only comes in 4 different flavor pods.

Not a good idea. It's a little like learning to drive a car. Both vaping and driving can lead to a crash. Best to start out simple and learn your sweet spot.
From what I've seen/read, no real experience:
MIG cigs is the best of them, but kind of big.
V2 does have clearomizers, not terrible.
Volt is reasonably priced and good, even their ejuice line.
NJoy Basic is the best disposable.
Mystic Bridge (can't remember size?)
The Juul's are a little bigger (?) and are probably shaped more like what's inside them, rather than totally forcing a square peg into a round hole. Are Liked but $$$
In my view, EVODs and the like are the minimum and can be quite good and easily pocketed, but are the "pen" style or eGo size. Middle ground and not placing aesthetics above all else. Feels like a cig in vapor amount rather than merely looking like a cig's amount of smoke. Flavor not muted like cartomizer type designs.

There is a good review on the MigCig on utube. Runs @ 4.2 volts, I think. Joyetech E-Roll had many fans. Pretty cheap now.
Personally I always suggest mods, as people upgrade anyways. Otherwise look on this site's vendors they have many starter kits that are great, subvod and alike, very cheap and a much better option than cigalikes, never liked cigalike, many years ago it didnt even help me quit until sub ohm tanks came out.
I agree. Yes, you may end up upgrading at some point, but as an experienced vaper, I have to say this is a very, very satisfying setup that is easy to use and super pocket/purse friendly.
In my opinion, the NJOY Daily is the best cigalike disposable. I keep one in my garage and at my desk at all times. You can usually find them at Walgreens or 7-Eleven for like $8. I prefer high wattage vaping, but I enjoy baby clouds sometimes too

Some people don't "understand" the psychological + look and feel that some of us get and like with having some cigalikes, or a small device like Joyetech AIO. It is very satisfying.
I've been vaping 4 years and I still like this stuff, and find it has a place in my vaping arsenal. Not everybody wants to "hoist" a weighty object to their lips to vape.
I would suggest to the OP a Joyetech AIO, Eleaf iJust Start Plus, Innokin Endura T18
I will never understand this telling people not to consider cigalikes or small vape gear because 1/2 the people I know AREN'T on internet vaping forums, aren't hobbyists, and use them and /or used them to quit smoking, and are happily puffiing along......they are not hobbyist vapers, they just want an alternative to the cancer sticks. They are overwhelmed by overpowered box mods, subohm, batteries and chargers, etc. .
Plug and play devices are great for new vapers.
A lot of people work full time, they really don't want to be carrying heavy stuff around to jobs at hospitals, lawfirms, corporate jobs. I really do not want to be standing out at the rail at a horse race (crowded) with a big ol' vape thing, and NEVER see anyone else doing it either. The largest vape device I have seen at the races or the casino for an entire year in 2016 was somebody with an istick / nautilus, and that was the exception rather than the rule.
The original idea of vaping, at least when I joined back in 2012, was to get people off cigarettes.
The Njoy Daily's menthol are very good. There is a time of day, as the sun sets, that I love going out on my porch, watch the sun set, with a good SMALL vape .....Njoy Daily or my old Kangertech Evod kit that uses single coils........... nothing like it for me!
Weeks at a time, my provari and reo sit on the shelf.......un-used.
Also, keep in mind, not everybody "vapes all day long" ...... some of us just vape here and there, and are not tied to our vape device all day long. A Joyetech AIO, Eleaf iJust Start Plus, Innokin Endura T18 are perfect vape devices for somebody looking for plug and play to quit smoking, and maybe a few NJoy Dailys in the purse or glove compartment or desk drawer in case your device loses charge.
People who are on vaping forums tend to believe that they are "in the know", but they are kinda not when it comes to what people are using when they first decide to quit smoking and what the largest segment of the population is actually buying. Most people are gonna walk into a local B&M and get the simplest and reasonably cheapest device so they can get started. And some of them never "upgrade" to anything larger.
I have 3 women friends who are still using ego type devices and have not had a cigarette for 3 years! (they are middle aged and not 20-somethings looking for latest-greatest or mods or attending cloud competitions).
Please stop telling people not to buy beginner devices and cigalikes.....this is how so many people get off cigarettes out there in the real world......NOT with $100+ mods and complicated tanks, RDAs, RTAs, etc.
Njoy daily is what i use when i travel. Keeps cigarette cravings at bay for me, so does its job. 20 pack comes to $ 58 when they have a 35 % off sale, which is almost always. So less than $3 each.
If you need a little more oomph, i'll go along with the eGo AIO and Innokin Endura recommendations.

I started with the e-Cigs Brand which enabled me to be able to quit smoking then moved to the Logics and before switching to a MOD I was using the MarkTen XL's. Like others have suggested do not bother with the Cig-A-Likes and get a starter kit. I started with an Eleaf iStick TC40w and a Nautilus Mini but now have 2-3 cell MOD's and DNA Chips with multiple tanks. Next step is Sub Ohm Vaping.

Well-said and what a great response! I would never tell a smoker to stay away from cigalikes and vape pens, but I would help them understand that there are different types of mods out there that might work best for them.
When I quit smoking in 2010, I wanted a cigalike that looked and felt like a cigarette. I didn't want a vape pen. I didn't even want a cigalike that had a green or blue light. I wanted a cigalike that had a red light, white battery, and yellow/orange filter. It HAD to look like a cigarette. I didn't want to bring attention to myself and I've known many smokers over the years that have felt the same way. A cigalike is what I used to quit smoking.
I know several people who prefer cigalikes and they have no desire whatsoever to even use something like an iStick 20 watt with a nautilus tank. They don't care about what's happening in the vape community. They don't want to learn how to wrap a coil or about battery safety. They just want to grab an e-cig from 7-11 as an alternative to smoking.
@VapePassion I was exactly the same way with my Red LED and I said for a very long time I would never be sucking on a device that looks like a Nebulizer! But now I have a nice arsenal at my disposal and more on the way!
so true! I had never even heard of a vape pen when I tried Njoy's disposables. They look and feel like a cigarette and even come in a zippo lighter like holder and light up at the end when you inhale. They are SUPER expensive, about the same as a pack of cigarettes, but they get you started. I still use them on occasion when I need something more "cigarette" like or forgot my mod. It's a very high quality disposable, and in social situations where you don't want to feel awkward carrying your mod and/or blow huge clouds in people's faces it hits the spot!
