Last night I found out my daughter is having some health problems, so I need to fly down to Houston to see what's up and probably bring her back here to NY. I was thinking of just this issue of traveling with vape stuff, and with the stress of dealing with her health, I know I'll need something while I'm there, and packing up a full vape collection for travel feels like too much organizational work without more planning time. I went through my drawer and discovered I still had 5 coupons for Vuse cartridges I was sent to make up for a misbehaving cartridge of theirs. Given the convenience and zero expense, I might very well pick those up for travel and keep my bag light. I know they'll be terrible in comparison, but all I need now is a nic fix and something to do with my hands.

I hope your daughter will be ok. But agree in stress situations sometimes the easier the better to cope. I used cig a like disposables to travel with too, made it much easier.

I've messed with some and cleaned the mesh of their juice and tried to use the juices that i liked in them..
They worked better with good juice ,but not anywhere to my liking..
Many have that short hit safety on them that just dogs my style..

It would be nice to have something small like that for work ,but I haven't found anything that does the job out of any that I have tried so far..

I think the cigalikes do have a place in vaping world, but they do have limits. If you are thinking about trying vaping, they are less expensive than the full-blown sets with all of the bits, pieces, and liquids. They might not be enough to get you over the smoking hump, but can help your mind think that "this might work!"

I started with the Blu kits, and even though I've moved up from there, I still like them for what they are. There are a couple of flavors that I can't find anywhere else, and just like potato chips, sometimes I just need to have that junk food fix.

I prefer to take them when I'm just out driving around and running errands and don't want to deal with the bigger gear. A few times I got caught with all of my batteries needing charging, and the Blu's were there to tide me over while the charger did its thing.

OK, a follow up to intention of using Vuse while I travel. I went and got my 5 free packs (2Xpack) and just tried one. First one since I started a vape pen. And I just can't........

I'll have to figure something else out. Guess I'll be traveling with probably my Plato and maybe the Pico with a little tank, and some little bottles after all.

That's unfortunate - why can't you 'Vuze'?

From what I've heard from people who've tried them, they are surprisingly satisfying, not in a 'clouds' way, but in a nicotine way - don't they contain 56mg nic juice?

People also said that the default Vuze flavours were quite pleasant, and not disgusting.

What kit do you normally ADV on?

When I used Vuse, I thought they tasted fine. They do have a crazy high nic level of 48, which is why they worked for me to stop smoking . But right now I'm on a Triade with a Merlin tank and some vanilla tobacco alternating with a Serepnt mini with Halo Tribeca, and the taste on that first draw of Vuse just really put me off. Also 2 puffs gave me a headache, from the high nic no doubt, even though I still use 24 mg nic liquids.

Well it's been an interesting discussion, and like Salemgold said, everyone is different.

Lots of great ideas brought up here like the Njoy Daily's and White Cloud Flings (when you are visiting people or taking care of sick family members, just easy to pocket and use, no fuss) and also for flying, etc. Then the newer stuff now aimed at new vapers, a bit bigger MTL stuff like Joyetech AIO and Innokin Endura 18's, seems like the industry is starting to remember what newbie vapers are looking for.

One interesting comment was somebody sticking to a certain product due to not being able to find the flavor anywhere.......and am reminded of friend who still uses Blu (she can wrap coils and has all the latest greatest but still loves her Blu because of this one cartridge flavor).

Whatever keeps you off the cigs.

I do know people who have never upgraded from simple pen devices like the single coil Kangertech EVOD kit.......those are great IMHO, and I myself still use them when going out for a day of shopping or swimming or whatever. (cheap and don't drink juice).

I have not read this entire thread but, before being totally turned off to the cigalikes I will tell you that many people out there need cigalikes in order to even think of quitting smoking.

Been trying to get my mom to stop smoking for 6 years now. We have tried everything that the vaping world has to offer. She has suffered many health ailments due to smoking. Still can't/won't give them up.

Recently suffered her 2nd heart attack. She is on oxygen and not able to smoke. She wanted to vape. I went to grab a small iStick 20W for her and she said, "no, those just don't do anything for me. I need to fool myself". She went to her purse and pulled out her pack of Njoys.

Njoys have always been most satisfying for her. After a 67 year "habit" it is the "habit" part that is giving her the most trouble IMHO. Sher needs the look, feel and taste of a real cig.

I am actually considering buying something that I just saw so that she can try them. I have no idea how good they are but they are priced well during this sale. The soft tips may appeal to her.

So, nobody here can tell you what will work for you. We are all very different. I have a hunch that there are plenty of people that quit using cigalikes and even still using them. Good luck to you.
have you checked out white cloud for her? i remember being very happy with their rechargeable system and liked their menthol flavor.

I started using cigalikes when I switched from smoking 5 years ago and have not used anything else. I personally do not want a large contraption and want to be able to easily stick it in a pocket, preferably in shirt pocket. I originally started with something that looked just like a cigarette with the glowing red end and all and cartridges. The cartridges were supposed to be disposable, but could be easily refilled, which cut down on the cost of using it considerably. Anyway, my supplier stopped carrying those. I tried several different ones and switched to the Haka Mini in 2014 and I find that it suits my needs and is satisfying. The only thing I needed to get used to was pressing a button rather than just drawing on it. There is a review of this e-cig on these forums here on these forums but I can't post a link. If you do a web search for Haka Mini it will come up in the results.

Haka mini is 15 dollars. A white cloud pack/kit can be 100 dollars or more.
The name of the game is to switch from smoking. I tried with something like white cloud and never quit. So, to me that's a product which is doubly expensive.
The best cigalike I used was a kit for 55 dollars that included a PCC (personal charging case). Better than the other 750 bucks I spent on brand name rip-offs. The big names just take advantage.
