so i have been vaping on and off for a year, usually ill stop when i start to get pains in my upper body, almost feels as if i have a knot in a back muscle or a weird pain or flutter in my chest, i have seen multiple doctors and i keep checking out fine. anyone have any ideas what it could be?.. almost feels like gas, but it isn't... 70% PG30% VG on current juice, and am trying 0 nic (LOL) to see if that makes a difference, but the odd pain still comes back.. doesn't hurt to the point where i am grabbing my chest or back, but is very uncomfortabl

My first thought was it could be too much nicotine and you'll see if that's it. Other than that you could try to reduce the PG. Or it might just be a back muscle. The muscles between and surrounding the ribs are very strong and can really hurt it they get tight or overworked.

Glad you already got it checked out by a doctor. Hope it works out for you :thumb:!

i just placed a new juice order 30%PG 70%VG just to see if that makes a difference, will try out in a couple days

I would almost bet that this will fix your problem. I got pretty much the same thing when I vaped some 80% pg juice. 50/50 or more VG than PG and I am g2g. From experience now I know that if I use a high PG juice it has to be a small amount and not too often.

this site never fails to deliver good people! thanks for your support hearing that someone had a similar situation and was able to get passed it with a simple mix switch is reassuring hopefully it goes as well for me :)

How long did you smoke before you started to vape? If you were a long time smoker, then perhaps your are suffering from healing pains. Damaged lungs can and will regenerate after you no longer smoke but this takes time.. Possibly the smoke damaged tissue and air sacks are at a tender stage and are simply getting irritated by the PG or just from expansion from big vape hits. Like when you bump an injury that is healing, it hurts. If this is the case, given time and more healing, the sensation should disappear

I am not a doctor, nor have training in health care, except for my first aid merit badge that I received in the 60's. I have suffered broken ribs that punctured and collapsed my lung, and your symptoms are very similar to what I experienced upon recovery from those injuries.

One of the things the doctor gave me was the inhalation device to exercise and expand my lungs to regain my full lung capacity, had a ping pall ball in a tube, so that when you inhaled on it the ball would float up, there was a scale on the side and the goal was to get the ball up to the top and float there for long as possible. Not fun and this did cause chest pains as you described and did pass with time.

Then again this might not be what's happening, but it could be. Just wanted to suggest a possible positive theory.
