Chest Pains !!!! not good at all

Hi sisco ye and other members reading this post! From what I've heard and read, a lot of these "vape pens" are manufactured by tobacco companies. Personally I avoided any imitation cigarette devices and companies with "Lites" in their name, and recommend others to avoid them too. I would advise you to speak with your doctor about this to be on the safe side. Also I would recommend doing some research on the device you purchased for information about the company and to see if any other users have experienced the same or similar issues that you have experienced. I do hope this is a one off problem and you recover! And remember around one month of using E-Cigs you may experience: wheezing, coughing up mucas, nose bleeds, and in some cases temporary acne can occur. These are signs of your body removing all the toxins from years of tobacco smoking, and last around a month maybe two, but after three months of no cigarettes you will notice a difference! Best of luck!

It all depends where you buy the vape pen. If you got it in Morrisons or the Co-op, it will be a tobacco company product. If you got it in a Vape shop, then unlikely.

Blu is tobacco. Vivid is tobacco. Vype (Pen) is tobacco.

ALL the companies I can think of with "Lites" in their name will be a total rip-off.
(E-Lites, LiteJoy, Go-Lites) .. that is true.
Actually, nearly all the 'branded' e-cigs are a rip-off.

Im sorry to say Im a heavy smoker, from 16-30 I've been smoking cigarettes like they have gone out of fashion

recently i went to the nhs quit smoking sessions and didn't do very well :(

SO

I bought a Vapor pen 18mg

I smoked a few puffs for a few minutes ,

BANG

since that few puffs on the robotic pen

1) heavy chest pains as if I've smoked 90 cigarettes in one go.

2) muscles around chest, neck and shoulders feel like they have seized up ( very painful as if I've slept funny and pulled a muscle in the neck)

3) my body is screaming at me.

4) the first night i went to bed i was worried i was going to have a heart attack , that I even wrote a letter telling my wife that I loved her so much.

In regard to your forth comment.. If you are ever that concerned again you should get out of bed and go to the ER.

Or at least check your BP at a drug store or walmart or whatever lol I understand people don't have health ins or can't afford the co-pays.

Check YouTube for a review of the product you bought or something similar so you can get a good idea of how it works and what to do with it. A lot of people overlook it but youtube can be your best friend when it comes to vaping. There are so many videos now and they are actually high quality and very helpful.

I really appreciate everybody for taking there time to write to me with all this helpful information , again I really appreciate you all.

So in England, they sell the vapor in newsagents and normal food stores, not a vaping store, Im sure they do have vaping shops in airport etc.

so as i was picking up milk and cat food then I purchased the vapor pen instead of buying more ciggerettes, there sold right next to the cigarettes.

Ive added a pic of the pen , price 20 pounds or $31

1) i will return the pen and seek out a vapor vender.

2) make another appointment with the doctor

today is the first time I feel normal again, the pains and ack has gone and I dare not to smoke this pen again

Hey guy, heavy chest pains, expecially radiating into the shoulders and arms are a definite sign of a heart attack. Get yourself to a doctor ASAP!
My roommate had those kind of pains, thought it was anxiety attack but went to the E.R. anyways. Two hours later he was in the O.R., getting a heart catheter.
Better safe than sorry, go to the E.R.!!

Looked on the Blu site and don't see that vape pen or anything other than cigalikes. It could be a false rebrand or an authentic one, but probably not actually designed by Blu.

Last I heard Blu juices are VG based, no PG, look on the label and see. I didn't like the feeling in my lungs when I tried a Blu, odd full feeling, although I can handle some VG now.

A question is did you allow time for the juice to wick up, or fill and immediately go? I can remember a coffee flavor that I hated, I think it got a little burnt and I may not have realized that it wasn't supposed to taste like that. I have a friend that had some cigalike kit that didn't work at all right, but it took me a while to convince him it was broken. A burning taste is not normal and means a problem that needs to be corrected before continuing. Another friend was trying to refill a cigalike and it was going straight through or something, anyway he used a whole (borrowed) bottle of juice in one day before figuring out it wasn't working.

He already said he bought it at the grocery, not a vape shop.

Best advice of all is, if you want to vape, go to a real vape shop where the people working there actually understand the products they're selling, and explain to them what sort of smoker you are/were -- light, heavy, frequent, full flavor or lite, menthol or non, and even the brand you smoke. Some folks find they need to get right away from the taste of tobacco, but others need a reasonable facsimile of a familiar flavor to fool their brains. Only you can decide that, once you've tried both tobacco flavors and other flavors.

Also, the amount or strength of your cigarettes is of more immediate concern when choosing a nicotine strength to start with, rather than how long you've smoked; I smoked for 39 yrs, but my cigs were ultra-lights, so I had to start very low -- 6mg -- or vaping just made me nauseous. Now I can vape 10mg all day, all the time, but I don't chainvape as I did when I first started -- which is perfectly normal when trying to switch from such a pernicious habit as smoking.

Hey man, welcome to the forum!!! Before I help, this thread will likely get closed because of the mention of that green plant. I suggest that you edit that part out so this thread remains active.

You may have an allergy to PG, or you may be getting dry hits. Will you please elaborate on how the vape tasted and felt during?
lol yeah change it quick I got a thread closed because I tokd someone to not tell me I don't know what I'm talking about.
    it was deemed as aggressive

I got the same kind of thing a long time ago. It should pass.

You might want to cut the nicotine down, or try a different base liquid. I started with PG, and can't stand it now... so the experience changes over time. Since you mention NHS, I'm guessing you're in the UK? Here in the states, you can get VG at Walmart(!) in the pharmacy section, and that can be a good test... cut your juice half and half with VG and see if you feel better.

You're definitely taking a good route, though. Staying off the icky-stix is always a preferable outcome, no matter which path you take to get there. That said, don't be afraid to go see a doctor, man. Those chest pains could be completely unrelated to vaping.

    All over the place
This might be overlooked, but muscle pains can be caused by drawing too hard on something tight. Kind of like straining your diaphragm muscles.

Man, I swear I was thinking the same thing. Tight draw much?

Sorry this happened to the OP. But welcome to the forum. I haven't read the whole thread, but maybe if you state where about you live we may be able to tell you where the nearest real vape shop is. But note, even if it's a good vape shop, you may want to check prices online (if you want to save some bead).

First off i would recommend going to RTAs because you need something better then starter kits and vaper pen. It is probably a muscle stretch because many smokers are not used to how vaping works. That being said, do consult with the doctor just to be certain.

Chest pains happen when you switch to e cigarettes and use a tighter drip tip like the one on vaper pen and aspire drip tip. Happened to me because i am not used to mouth to lung hits. It took me a week to recover from that but someone suggested me the same thing as i have suggested you the main reason is that you get more air flow.

Glad you're feeling better and welcome! Please, do still check in with your doctor.

In the meantime, one simple piece of advice: If a shop sells anything other than vape gear and supplies, move along. If a dedicated vape shop doesn't welcome you in and badger you to ensure they've set you on the right path with confidence, move along.

I shop at brick and mortars exclusively, and among hundreds (seriously) of options available, I shop at two. A good vape shop is hard to find, so when you find one, stick around. Surely you'll get some helpful shop info from locals if you provide a rough location.

[EDIT] Pay close attention to the posts that don't get likes. It isn't coincidence. Disregard, move along. Two tips. :)
