Can't get no...Satisfaction with new Ego

Hoping someone can help me out. I've had my new Ego and 2/0 Boge cartos a week now and while the vapor production is excellent and the new cartos long lasting, I seem to be less satisfied with the vaping experience than I was at first. Trying lots of new juices, several vendors, all 22-24 mg (which at first was causing the heart racing thing - had to cut back vaping a wee bit).
But for some reason, it seems I mostly get a slight metallic taste and well, water tasting vape. Mostly I prefer the mint flavors - hoping my tastebuds rebound so I can appreciate some of the more exotic flavors I have eventually. When I go back to my original penstyle I still seem to get a better flavor and vape - the only reason I switched was the battery life and refilling issues was making me nuts.
Any suggestions? I love vaping and a regular cig just tastes nasty now - definately won't be going back to those.

There were some times when juices just seemed to have no flavor, especially in my first month or two. Some days the only way I could get any flavor was either with a strong menthol or cinnamon/redhot flavor.

The liberty flights website said that 3.0 cartomizers are best to keep fruity flavor. Someone correct me if im wrong.

They say that but I still like the 2.0 much better.

This is a tough one. I have had similar problems with juices lacking with flavor (perhaps the water taste you mentioned) after a short while which I was able to fix through a combination of temporarily vaping stronger juices like DonG suggested and also some steeping ( letting the juice sit for a short while open to the air in a cool dark place)

The reason why I say this is a tough one is because switching units typically doesn't remedy the problem in cases like the one I just mentioned.

Does the metallic taste persist using different juices? What penstyle unit do you go back to for the flavor? Im surprised you are finding less flavor with you Boges.

Dont worry, some of us have to deal with this when starting out but like other told me when I needed help, It does pass

Thanks for the responses. The reason I go back to the penstyle is I seem to get a more "cigarette" like temp and taste. Thinking of giving the 3.0 cartos a try next, are they "cooler" than the 2.0's? I think part of the issue is the warmth on the EGO. Cartos are definately full.
I just discovered by removing the drip tip I lose most of the metallic taste! Yeah. The DT I was using on the carto was metal so maybe that was it. Went back to the white plug only. The only reason I switched was the carto gets kind of hot on my lips when I chain vape. Have a plastic DT on the way - hopefully that will solve both of those issues.
I think I may be just having a couple of "those days", hopefully will get over it.
