Did you try Vapor4Life WOWbacco (a very dark chocolate tobacco - I just taste dark chocolate, or WOWBoy which is the same with a bit of Mint added)?

Then there are mints, menthols, cinnamon, ginger or ginger ale, other spices, some liquor flavors all have a bit of their own throat sensation.
Here is a Ginger Ale I like - I have not tried in in 0 nic yet though (they also sell plain ginger ale)
Velvet Vapors - Raspberry Gingerale Flavor

Or try this juice - it is probably too thick for a carotmizer - very thick. You could stick an atomizer on the KR808D-1 (DSE901 atty w/ no adapter, and get DSE901 carts or if you have manual batteries you could try a 901 drip tip) - this stuff is legend - it will leave a lasting burn in your throat. He may have chili juice or something in there - and since it's all VG it makes huge vapor

Another option - buy the biggest fat KR808D-1 model and use low resistance cartos for a hotter hit - heat is the other way to kick up the hit. Look at PigCig at leCig and Elegant Easy at CigEasy. They will need their own charger and you can't charge slim batteries on their charger (can damage them). I have been dropping my nic and I am at 6 now - for that step to 0 I am finally considering a fat battery model so I can use LR cartomziers for hotter hits.

If you yourself believe that nicotine is an evil monster (which it is not) then you are only giving him fuel for his fire.
It sounds like time to educate yourself about nicotine, and then educate him.
:)

Thanks so much everyone for all the support !!! Mwah!

Husband did smoke, years before I met him. His issue is that "nicotine is a powerful neurotoxin, one of the best pest-killers is soaking cigarettes in water then spraying it on the bugs: etc etc.
And he was on at me to give up smoking for years. No congrats once I started vaping though, just cautious silent support. And then pressure to quite vaping. But I am just not ready to quit nicotine. Thanks to everyone here for saying that's okay.

And I have to say -

remember that the 2mg they refer to in the analogues is the TAR content, not the nicotine content of the cigarette.
Duh! Is that true? I missed that somewhere  . How do you know what mg of nicotine to buy then? Boy, do I feel dumb.... Anyway, thanks everyone, I will stick with the cartomizer style models I currently have but will be straight back onto the nicotine. Hope my V4L 4mg cartos arrive tomorrow so I can get a 'fix' soon.

Hey Katz, there's no dumb around here:laugh:we've all learnt things from this forum!!

To decide the level of nic for you can only be by trial & error. As I said my wife smoked 2mg (Tar) Menthol and needed 18mg nic juice to cut her craving. I used to smoke 8mg Dunhill and started on 24mg juice (now back to 18).

One way you can try to find your level is to start with a bottle of 24mg Menthol and another bottle of 0mg Menthol. Try it at 24 and if it's too strong add the 0mg to cut it back to your desired level. One drop to one drop would be 12mg etc.

Just remember start high and you can always cut it back. If you start low you cannot increase it!!

Another plus to this method, just keep your 0mg juice on display and hubby will be happy too. (pssst...he'll never know)

Duh! Is that true? I missed that somewhere:facepalm:. How do you know what mg of nicotine to buy then? Boy, do I feel dumb....

I believe it is the nicotine content that they are referring to. The average full flavor cig has about 1mg-3mg nicotine per stick, so about 20mg-60mg per pack.... (I think only newport 100s and camel non-filters have 3mg or more, most have about 1mg).

But that's the amount that you actually absorb from the cig. We only absorb somewhere between 10%-40% of the nicotine that we use in our juices, so if you use 24mg juice (like me) and go through 3ml per day (like me) then you are getting about 29mg per day (assuming we absorb 40%) or less..... about 7mg if you assume we only absorb 10%.

Because we aren't totally sure how much we are absorbing for sure, the best thing to do is to find the nicotine mg that works to keep you off cigarettes and then slowly lower your mg's until you are using low or no nicotine. Like I said earlier, you'll become less addicted when you have vaped for a little while and lowering your nicotine amount (if that's your ultimate goal) will be relatively easy, certainly 100x easier than quitting smoking IMO.

The nicotine in tobacco cigarettes reacts with the MAOI's (yes, anti-depressants) in the tobacco to cause an addiction reaction. This addiction reaction has not been shown in studies using plain nicotine without tobacco, so it stands to reason that we were addicted to smoking (specifically) and not as much to the nicotine itself.

Is it really that easy to quit analogs? i doubt so

Believe me, I didn't think so either. Never ever ever thought I would quit. In fact I had no intention of quitting. I'm as shocked as anyone that I did. My mom smoked for 60 years and quit. She's shocked too.

When I read about everyone quitting here I doubted it too.

I wouldn't call it effortless but, it's a heck of a lot easier to switch to a PV than any other method I've tried to get off cigarettes. I started out using the PV most of the time and still smoking 3 or 4 cigarettes a day. Cutting down that much wasn't hard at all. After a few weeks, I wasn't enjoying those cigarettes very much. So, I put them down. Again wasn't that hard. Go ahead and think what you want but, with the right equipment this system does work.

I'll give up vaping if you'll run out and get me a pack of smokes sweetie.

Seriously. You put the analogs aside. You are healthier. You are going towards a healthier lifestyle. You don't stink. You're not exposing others to second hand smoke. Your clothes and house smell fine I'm sure.

I sense the pressure you feel is from others. Tell those casting the stones to put down their glasses of wine, cups of coffee, the chips, dips, candy, and donuts.

I'm 41. My 21 year old son always hated my smoking. He is so proud of me now and tells me so often. He's never told me to put aside the vaping. Ever.

:vapor: Vapor on and tell the hubby to back the heck off. He's actually being extremely rude.

As others have said, nicotine is no worse for you than caffeine. Whenever I've had someone comment about my continued use of the PV with nicotine, I've offered them a challenge.
"I'll make you a deal. I'll give up my nicotine if you give up your caffeine. You can never have a cup of coffee again, not one, or anything that contains caffeine. How about it?"

They usually go quiet about that point.

Love it! Thus far, my parents have been VERY supportive of my using vaping to quit smoking. But, I can see it in their faces and hear it in their voices - the day will comes (not sure when) that they will start asking me when I'm going to stop vaping (or at least stop vaping nic) and I will be using this argument. My parents are both drinkers (functional alcoholics). Even before vaping, I told them I would quit smoking if they would quit drinking. They never took me up on my offer. They think bc they quit smoking cold turkey that every smoker, myself included, should be able to do the same.

My original intention was to knock back on a 2 PAD habit over time. I was hopeful I would eventually quit. First day I had two analogs; the second one tasted kinda funny and wasn't more satisfying than vaping. Next four days, zero analogs. I have 14 and 18 mg juice and think 14mg is a little low for me at this time. To satisfy that analog urge I switch to 18mg for a while then back to 14mg. I'm totally blown away with my success so far. I may be overly optimistic but I cannot see myself returning to analogs. Unbelievable. Amazing. My arm hurts from patting myself on the back. lol

After 30+ years of smoking 20+ per day, I only managed to quite once (for 12 months) and it was hell. The transition to e-cigs was so easy I couldn't believe it, and nor could anyone who knew me. However, as you see from my thread here, I have hit a wall in going down to 0mg cartomizers.

I'm now totally confused about this whole nicotine mg level thing. The way I see it is that the White Cloud Full Strength & Light were too much for me, but I was pretty stable on the 6mg cartos in that & Elusion brands. The Vapor4Life order I have coming is 4mg so I'll see how I go on that before deciding whether to bump up to 8mg in that brand or try another brand in 6mg.

And yeah,

I've never tried it, but it's another option available in addition to pepper, menthol, pga, etc. Boge cartomizers and ce2's, while not everyone's cup o tea produce warmer vapor and more throat hit due to the heating element being closer to the mouth. I'd try the 3ohm vs of each and step up to lower ohm if you like but want more.

Nicotine has good and bad. Pretty much everything does. I'd try to get to the lowest level you can be *comfortable* at and be happy. I like a low nic for hanging out and vaping and a high nic when busy doing other things or stressed. Personally these are 25mg/ml and 30mg/ml to be decreased sometime in the future when I feel like maybe saving a little money by cutting the most expensive component out of my juice or whatever, who cares, I don't smoke, so there. :)

As someone else has mentioned. Get some 24mg and another of 0. You can later start mixing them to go to 18,12 8 etc. I smoked 45 years and started with 24mg. It was not enough for me. I upped it to 36 for a month and had no desire for a cig.I am still at 24mg.after 20 months. I'm not worried about still using 24mg. Maybe I'll try 18 and see if it works. I'm smoke free and feel great. My doctor is very pleased ,as is all my family. Vape whatever works for you. Not what someone else wants. Good luck

I would like to ( and am ) reducing the amount of nicotine I vape... but if the choice is between vaping some amount of nicotine or going back to smoking... I will vape some level of nicotine.

Was 24... now 16 and will soon be working my way down to 8

As to this being an easy way to get off cigarettes, I would not have believed it, before I did it. I have tried to quit thousands of times, quitting using this, was with no effort at all.

That is why people that do this wax rhapsodic about it.

My V4L 4mg cartos & purple diamond shorty battery arrived yesterday, and things hit the fan with hubby shortly thereafter.
Him: "I thought you were giving those things up?"
Me: "No darling, you are the one who thinks I should give them up. I told you before that I need them right now"
Him: "How much is this costing?"
Me: "Less than cigarettes and you can't put a dollar value on the fact I AM NOT SMOKING "

Him: blah blah blah sulks, goes to bed early.
Me: sucks that 4mg into me alllll night! :thumb:
