So since I have started vaping like 3 months ago I have bought 2 vapes (1 as a spare) (TFV12 Prince - SMOK® Innovation keeps changing the vaping experience!) and I have had 4 coils (2 came with each vape) and every time I have tasted a little bit of burntness I have just swapped the coil out then cleaned it in boiling water let it dry out and reused it when I needed to swap the coil next time I have not needed to throw away a single coil like this but now i have just got new menthol liquid (3 mg) (King Of Vapes - Menthol) that I haven't had before and for the first 10-20 burns I had last night it was fine but I woke up this morning and started vaping it tastes very strong with a burnt taste unless I take very small burns I have swapped the coil and the same is happening both coils I have tried are pretty white and don't look burnt so whats the issue burnt coil or to strong liquid
EDIT: (I struggle to taste most liquids that don't contain menthol that's why I am not trusting my self on knowing if its burnt)

New coils. And you can probably revive them ONCE (safely) and if you can't taste yet, (I had that problem way back when I was dual using) they are probably more unfortunate and gross than you realize. When I couldn't taste my son was always coming over and goggling at my coils and telling me I was an idiot and changing them. Burnt tasted like cigarettes to me.

Avoiding burnt coils is good (and are you priming them properly?) I don't even revive drop ins once anymore, because I get good life out of them since I quit chain vaping (well on one setup anyway) and use RTAs as well in the mix.

Vaping has costs. They are less than smoking but unless you can REBUILD a spent coil, you shouldn't revive them more than once.

Etc.

Good luck,

Anna

Coils do not last forever.

Either build your own coils or buy a whole bunch of factory coils that you regularly swap out.

I only use factory coils and I swap mine out about once a week. I don't bother to clean or recycle them, I prefer only brand new coils. That's $3 a week for great, nice tasting coils and $12 a month total. Not exactly a big expense, and less than the cost of one pack of cigs where I am at.
