I have spent several weeks now talking to different people, analogue smokers and vapers, about how to create the best Smoke or vape rings.

The best way I have found is to roll up a piece of A4 paper, usually about 1 inch diameter, and form a perfect O with your mouth at one end. Inhale smoke or vape, hold it in your mouth and knock your jaw gently, allowing the vape to roll along the tube of paper. It comes out the end perfectly formed, moving and rolling through the air.

Anyone else like to share their tricks?

I still cannot make both. Neither small or big rings :)

What is the secret?

Same as the old joke, How do you get to Carnegie Hall?

Practice, practice, practice!!

Once you get the shape of your lips right, it's just a case of using your cheeks
and tounge to give a quick push of the vapor in your mouth, and it just happens.
Trick is to get enough pratice in without nicotine OD!!

I started smoking young, at 13, and when you're a kid the coolest thing in the world is to blow smoke rings, so I taught myself and practiced a bunch. Now, 35 years later (ouch!) I do it without thinking, even now when I vape. I don't know how anymore, and mostly just do it without thinking! I usually am reminded when someone comments on the nice ring! Prior to the comment I'd have never known...

For more fun with vapor, try a "French inhale" or "Irish waterfall". Exhale fully, then get a good mouthful of vape just by sucking at the bit without inhaling, then open your mouth slightly to let the vape waft out while you inhale it into your nose. The key to this trick is all about training yourself to inhale through your nose without inhaling through your open mouth. You may also notice a difference in apparent "flavor", which is really a combination of taste and aroma, since you're getting a stronger hit of the aroma component this way.

I actually did practice practice practice, lmao I found if I don't inhale, hold my mouth in a round shape and I just use my tongue to push our the smoke and at the last second pull my tongue back to create the "hole" in the ring. Also practicing this with any kind of wind will give you mixed results and mess up how quickly you learn

The video that Malyden mentions is a "hoot" to say the least; seems to work as well. There are a lot of way to "ring" and you just need to find one that fits for you. Once you get the idea, the other methods will follow. Great thing, as Stoshe alluded to, is that you can practice without the nicotine rush. Way to much time in my youth was spent teaching others to "ring" only to have them get dizzy or throw up during practice.

Probably goes without saying, gut a higher concentration of VG helps. Be sure to hold your mouth into a circle (not too big and not too small). Then draw the vape into the mouth. Don't rush.
