It depends on the coil you're using with the tank.
All of the smok coils have a recommended range of wattage to be used with those coils, printed on them... And those wattages are the best according to the company to be used with those coils.

Depends on the coil. On the X4 I'm using it at 80w. But it's all personal preference.

I had bought the RBA edition of the cloud beast king, I just checked the resistance of the coils, .40 ohms. It has SS Clapton coils, In temp mode it's at 360 F and works well. In wattage mode I get plenty of flavor and vape at 35 w, 45 watts is strong for me, 55 w is to much for me. It's good without a doubt but really over kill and I prefer the TFV8 RBAs. I have the air flow at about 1/4 of the way open for a little draw. I put it aside for emergencies.

I stay at 90 watts as it stays very cool,yet great clouds. Flavor stays spot on too. Im using the tv12 coils.
I have a box of TV14 coils coming in the mail. Cant wait to see how they do.

Im pushing my tank now to see just how high in watts my lungs can handle.

i use mine at 160 using a t12 coil on an alien 220w. funny part is, i've only been vaping a couple months (upgraded from a joytech AIO) and people who have been using for them for years can't handle it when they use it, but i love it at 160, it's a sweet spot for me.
