Aspire Nautilus contact pin rust issue.

Hard to capture a picture of the affected area, but on the hollow pin that connects the battery to the coil is a bit of rust. I believe this happened from not drying completely after a wash, as I'm sure juice didn't cause the problem. When vaping the Nautilus in this condition, my clear juice will turn color when I get to a bit above 1/3 of a tank, and when taking the coil out i can see the rust rubs off onto the coil base. Is there any way I can take the base hardware of the Nautilus apart to scrub off this rust? Or does anyone else have a suggestion? Thanks!

EDIT : Just poked around in there and it's a spring not a pin!

I hate to say it, but I think you might have a clone. I constantly wash my setup (I'm a bit of a cleanliness freak), and haven't had any rusting issues. Aspire says they use stainless steel, aluminum, and chrome plated brass in their Nautilus's so nothing should rust.

As for getting it out, just push from the top down. Just don't loose the pin and spring. Without those parts, the whole system won't work.

This is an absolute valid point but I have matched the #'s on the scratch off and as far as I know it's legit. The packaging was also spot on and not something I see a clone company using, but you ever know!

That's the sad part about the cloners, they're getting better and better at making them "look" right (product and packaging). But the quality just isn't there. I know that there was (or still might be) a cloner that got the scratch codes to work on Aspire's web site. Which is why Aspire started putting a holographic sticker on their stuff, to help weed out the clones.

It's only when you send pics of all the packaging with the serial number and all the codes on and in the packaging to Aspire can they verify it's authenticity.

You can purchase the pin and spring assembly from Aspire for $1.00 each (plus shipping) I found I had purchased a clone and it was misssing the spring on the pin. I went to the site and made a purchase worth the shipping charges for spare parts etc...

The parts on the Aspirecig website are in fact cheap, but the shippig alone is outrageous as I live in the US. I just found out that vape.us is selling he whole base hardware piece for $10 usd which with shipping would be cheaper than buying the pin and spring and paying China to US shipping. hmmm
