It's the Thoth t from Kumiho. And yes the flavour is brilliant, on par with the caliburns. They put out both replaceable pods and replaceable coils. I've only used it with the coils and had no trouble with them lasting the distance
Thanks! I'm super interested in one. Price is right, too.

Hellvape Fat Rabbit Solo 2 RTA by Infinium

My personal full immersion into hybrid RDL-cloud atomizers, which began in 2025, continues. After the Hellvape Dead Rabbit 3, which I discussed in February and found truly exciting, it's time for the Fat Rabbit Solo 2 RTA. It was kindly gifted to me by HealthCabin.

Fat Rabbit Solo 2 RTA by Hellvape comes in the usual orange box, protected by a plasticized sleeve. As will be seen later, one side of the box features a scratch and check sticker to verify authenticity. The included accessories seem somewhat fewer compared to other Hellvape atomizers

Inside the box, along with the Fat Rabbit Solo 2 RTA by Hellvape, there is a 0.37 Ω Ni80 Fused Clapton coil (3 mm diameter, 5 parallel wraps), a screwdriver, a 2.5 mm coil jig, plenty of o-rings, a bubble tank, cotton, spare deck screws, and a user manual. Usually, there is a second drip tip, and the screws are only flathead, whereas in other models, I have also found hex screws. Fortunately, nothing is gold-plated.

The Fat Rabbit Solo 2 RTA prominently features two independent airflow controls: the top ring is connected to a side airflow system, while the bottom ring manages the bottom airflow. It has a 25 mm diameter and a height of 41 mm, excluding the pin and drip tip. Weighing 57 grams, it’s a solid choice for an atomizer that Hellvape classifies as a single coil. Depending on the tank used, the capacity is either 5 ml or 3 ml.

The drip tip is truly stunning, somewhere between a marble and a zebra pattern (in my case), styled as an 810. The o-ring is placed in the top cap rather than at the base of the drip tip. The drip tip slot is flat, which, as will be seen later, allows for the use of an 810-to-510 adapter—especially since the chimney, for an RDL atomizer, is not oversized, measuring "only" 6 mm.
The top cap features a bayonet-style locking system, with two small tabs holding it in place. A quarter-turn unlocks the mechanism. Despite the knurling on the ring, opening the cap requires holding the airflow control ring to prevent the tank section from unscrewing from the deck. The refill ports are generously sized to accommodate any type of container.

The first part of the airflow system is fairly standard: dual mirrored slots with no honeycomb pattern (though these will be present in the deck). To remove it, as shown in the picture, the top cap must be taken off. A stopper helps when unscrewing the top cap.
The glass sections are held in place by an o-ring located beneath the airflow ring. The bubble glass has a diameter of 28.5 mm and a 5 ml capacity, while the standard glass is 25 mm with a 3 ml capacity.

The chamber and top cap are a single piece with no joint sections. Now visible are the two honeycomb patterns, highly appreciated in the lung vaping world. The chamber walls draw air exclusively from the top airflow, but they can be closed off to use only the bottom airflow.
The chamber also features a well-crafted threading for securing the deck. There is no liquid control system.

The deck is completely open with a postless configuration. As mentioned, the Fat Rabbit Solo 2 is mainly advertised as a single-coil atomizer, but it's possible to fit two coils, provided they are placed close together to avoid contact issues.
As always, wicking is essential—without proper cotton placement, performance suffers. There’s no need to overcomplicate things: the cotton tails should drop straight down parallel to the chamber walls and be inserted into the small wick slots. They should touch the bottom but without excess, following the golden rule of not overstuffing, as there is no juice flow control (JFC).
In single-coil mode, Hellvape recommends using a 3 mm coil or larger. The one shown in the picture is 2.75 mm, and the side walls/small juice well still accommodate the build effectively.

Speaking of rebuilding, here are the tools provided by Hellvape: a flathead screwdriver and a coil trimmer, which I’m starting to think they’ve produced in bulk, all stamped with a "5" to indicate the leg length in millimeters.
The bottom pin is gold-plated, and the CE mark and disposal instructions are also present.

Unscrewing the pin releases the positive post along with its insulator. I believe the airflow ring is press-fit, as trying to pull it from above is blocked by part of the deck, and pulling from below doesn’t work, even when placing it in the freezer.
Like the one above, the airflow system features a dual standard slot, which can be completely closed off, allowing the Fat Rabbit Solo 2 to be used exclusively as side airflow by opening the top slot.
Finally, when using the Fat Rabbit Solo 2 with an adapter (not included in the package), it seems to fit a 510 connector "made by Hellvape." However, it might be better to opt for a wider one or limit yourself to very mild builds.

Airflow system: Having two independent airflow rings seems genius, but in the end, the internal "design" is quite similar to what is found in many atomizers, like the aforementioned DR 3 2024.
When only the bottom airflow is closed, leaving the top airflow open, the draw feels strange, too short, since the air takes a much shorter path compared to mirrored systems. When only the bottom airflow is used, the situation improves to the point where it can be used on its own.
If both airflow rings are used together, they must be opened to the same extent, or else the draw will feel unnatural. The recommendation for optimal heat dissipation, especially with complex builds, is to use both, perhaps closing them slightly more than when using just one.
Regarding noise, despite the large airflow entering, any configuration remains relatively quiet. As for stability and contrast, it requires a bit of practice, but it’s achievable.

Flavor performance: Fewer flaws compared to the DR 3 (whether RDA or RTA), with even more intense flavors, especially with mild builds. The flavor is sweet, but thanks to the honeycomb and the restricted chamber, it’s less "flat" compared to other atomizers.
The bottom-only airflow configuration seemed to offer the most aromatic and defined flavor, proving my point that top-airflow lung atomizers (RDL) have much less to offer in terms of flavor.
Depending on the build and heat dissipation (since air doesn’t reach the sides), the airflow can be opened more, and to maintain contrast, adjustments can be made on the drip tip. So, bottom airflow provides better flavor, but some extra care is needed if you want to create a very contrasted RDL.
Of course, it’s recommended to use liquids with at least a 60 VG 40 PG ratio or higher.

Build: With 26 gauge wire, there's no need to use oversized tools (a 2.5 mm is enough; in the picture, it’s a 2.75 mm), as the cotton channels are easily accommodated, and the cotton tails naturally extend to the right length due to the coil-to-deck distance.
For a "full" flavor experience, there’s no need to overdo the coil wraps with single wires—6 wraps are more than enough.
As an atomizer, it is designed as a single-coil RDL, and fortunately, this is the case; to tighten the draw, there’s no need for tricks like those used with the DR 3.

The finish of the stainless steel, compared to the DR 3 2024, seemed inferior and more in line with the DR MTL 2.
The pros of the Fat Rabbit Solo 2 include the open deck, making it easier to rebuild. Despite having a bottom airflow and no JFC, it can be refilled from the top without leaks, as long as the airflow is closed.
It could have been an excellent low-cost original RDL, but it still performs well in terms of flavor and overall value.
