Finally started making mixes I like, but now my tongue is coated (I'm guessing from VG) and I can no longer taste my juice. PG is out since I'm sensitive to it. Would adding pure grain help keep my tongue clean?
I hate to see a post go unanswered, but I'm really not sure. I think your logic is sound, though. It's definitely worth a try. If only you could buy tiny quantities of pga in case it didn't work... good luck!
Caged, not sure as I don't use pga except to clean, but I do make sure I brush my tongue. If I get to a point where I don't taste the juice anymore...I do one of 3 things....1) brush my teeth and tongue....2) eat something salty (fritos work best for me to clean my palate for tasting my juices).....or 3) carbonated water (such as perrier)......it's amazing how well this has worked for me....it's like it bubbles the coating away
Here's my trick for cleaning my palate. It's actually a thing that the japanese use.
Ginger. fresh. or a 1/2 tsp in water, or I have some ginger candies.
I eat something salty and drink water to cleanse my palate after awhile. All of my diy mixes are vg based (until I get my nic and pg in that I ordered), and I noticed that I get the coated taste as well. Alcohol does work well at cleansing the palate when you drink, so I imagine it might work using PGA in the juice, but I'm not sure since it's actually in with the flavor in the first place.
