hi people, i have a question regarding gtl batteries.....i bought a lavatube that's on it's way, just the shell and figured i needed batteries so bought 2 gtl 2800 mah rechargable batteries from the classifieds without doing research first on them(stupid i know). So i'm wondering/hoping someone can tell me if they will work with the lavatube?

Lavatube should work with any high drain IMR batteries under 65mm... That said, those batteries are 65.8, so hopefully you'll be ok, I use panasonic batts which are 65.2 and work... However, my friend has the same panasonic battereis rewrapped with a button top for his provari and I can't close my bottom cap all the way, but my tube will still fire... just looks a bit sketchy... No clue as to if those batteries are IMR, the review i saw of them was for a flashlight forum, and they dropped their amperage pretty quick, so who knows....

Your protected batts might give you more trouble than just size. I've got some Trustfires I tried in my tube. If I turned the voltage up at all the protection kicked in because of current draw and shut the batt off. I'd have to remove end cap, put it back on to get the batt to fire again. Basically turned my LT into an E-power.
