Weller Battery Powered Soldering Tool - BP645MP at The Home Depot
Cost $14.95 and includes everything except atomizer connector

It has an on/off switch, momentary normally open push button, and LED already built in.

Step 1. Remove the battery cover located at the end of the soldering tool
Step 2. Remove the 3 Phillips head screws
Step 3. Gentle separate the two halves of the handle
(careful not to lose any of the internal parts)

Step 4. Unsolder the positive and negative connections from the solder tip.

Step 5. Solder red wire from switch to the center terminal of the atomizer
connector.

Step 6. Solder black ground wire from negative lead of LED to the
ground spring and a black ground wire from ground spring to the
inside of the out rim of the atomizer connector.

Step 7. Place the atomizer connector in the same location that you
removed the solder tip from.

Step 8. Screw the two halves of the handle back together and cinch a
black tie wrap around the area where the connect in located.
(You could epoxy the connector in, but I felt the connector was
secure enough with the tie wrap. This way I could open up the
handle again in case of needed repair)

I used a connector from a dysfunctional Lady Pipe head, however you could use a 901 or 801 connector.

For testing purposes i inserted 3 1.5V AA energizer lithium batteries totaling 4.5 volts and it has vaped like a freight train for two days straight (heavy vaping).

I will be replacing the batteries with rechargeable ones either a 3.7v protected 18650 2500 mAh battery and two dummy cells or 2 cr2 3.0V 880 mAh batteries and two dummy cells.

Let me know what you think?
