Yahoo has various chat rooms for almost useless crap , We should have one for people who vape . what does every one think ? I do love ECF and all but a room where we can even get on voice and talk would be nice as well . that way people can get almost immediate answer and even watch others on cam to get help . the vids posted are nice but what if someone needs real time help ? just a crazy idea ...

IRC is standard text chat. It's one of the oldest forms of internet chat there is.

I've been (ab)using IRC for at least the past 10 years. For Video and Voice, I turn to Skype.

Voice and cams is not really the way to go, if you ask me, if there are supposed to be more than a handful of people talking.
Not to mention technical issues, such as software on different OSes or even the availability of cams. I don't have one, because I don't want one. (Although, on 2nd thoughts, I think I could plug in a digicam of mine and use it as one.)

IRC works on everything, including many text-only OSes, really old computers, etc.
