    Once again I say welcome back for today's review of the latest version as of this date of the KYLIN family of rta's called the KYLIN 3. This is a dual coil 25mm rta that can also be used as a single coil with a big enough coil it's very easy to build on being that it uses a postless deck and supplies you with a coil jig with correct marking showing the user where to place the coil for cutting. You get everything needed to build on the deck including 2 coils, grub screw driver, extra grub screws, 510 drip tip adapter, user manual with instructions and a spare straight glass tube that I have no idea what the capacity is because it's not available but I think it's 4ml. Preinstalled on the RTA is a 6ml glass tube that's more suited for this RTA. I said you get everything needed and you do except for cotton, that you have to supply yourself as none is included.

    FIRST IMPRESSIONS

    When I opened the shipping box and pulled out the box containing the KYLIN 3 RTA I was pleased looking through the plastic viewing window with it's appearance. This RTA ships in a standard box with nothing fancy to mention, I was also very pleased that Vandy Vape included a straight glass tube as I prefer them over bubble glass as most of you know, but this joy was short lived ( more about that later ).

    The first thing I did was break the RTA down for cleaning in a hot bath of soapy water. This RTA breaks down easily in six parts including the drip tip, I am happy to report that you can use your own 810 drip tips on the KYLIN 3 because the supplied drip tip is O-ring free. I planed on using the supplied drip tip in testing because it felt comfortable to me, you also get a 510 drip tip adapter if you want to go that route.

    After cleaning and drying all the pieces off it was time for a build, I used the provided coils because they appeared to be made well, I went with a dual coil build because I don't have any coils larger than 3mm like the ones supplied. The coils supplied were NI80 with a resistance of 0.41Ω's that should come out to .02Ω's when both are installed on the deck which they did. I used the coil cutting jig that came with the RTA as well.

    I am also happy to report the grub screws are of good quality and not easily rounded off, I really like postless decks because of how easy it is to build on them. Both coils mounted in place as expected with no problems, make sure by double checking after they are installed that their height doesn't exceed the side honeycomb walls, if it does pull them out and recut very flush to the bottom of the coil cutting jig. I was very excited to see how well the bottom honeycomb showerhead design would preform, at first glance it looks like it will work great.

    Wicking this RTA is also very easy to do, cut your tails right at the edge of the base and thin them out a little. Place the tails in the wicking slots, don't stuff them in, if it feels like it's a tight fit pull them out and thin the tails some more. You really want to keep the tails from bottoming out in the wick wells, you also want to keep them as straight as possible. All you need it a tiny amount of wiggle room in the wicking slots.

    A word of cation, the deck base attaches with a quarter turn or less so when removing the atomizer grab it fully at the base or you will unscrew the tank from the build deck base and create a huge mess as I almost found out the hard way but was able to catch myself just in time. Let move up to the top cap that has a huge fill ports and uses a full twist off method to remove it, it's so deep of a fill port you could fill it to the top caps O-ring.

    As most of you know I'll take a straight glass over bubble glass every time which I did for two refills of the straight, nowhere is it mentioned how much the capacity is but I'm thinking it's 4ml, boy this thing guzzled the juice extremely fast and it seems that the straight glass has a very tight fit next to the barrel chimney, so much so that it even effected the way the juice flowed. I never had a dry hit or vacuum lock but I never saw 1 bubble in the 2 tanks of juice which really got me worried this was going to be a failure of a RTA, I mean even the draw seemed to be affected.

    I vaped the last tank full down to nothing and switched over to the bubble glass. Even filling on the straight glass took time for the juice to go down and even out in the tank. I started filling with the bubble now installed and it was a night and day difference all for the good. When I switched over to the bubble glass I left everything alone with the build and wicking and this atomizer came to life, juice flowed freely, the draw improved greatly and I now had a bubble or two on every vape. Maybe it was too thick of juice but this never happened to me before on any RTA. It's a real shame because I don't mind refilling more often plus it really looks better with the straight glass in my opinion, I have pictures of both so you decide.

    PROS

    * Attractive

    * Great Flavor

    * Easy To Build On

    * Easy to wick

    * Large Juice Capacity

    * Good Airflow

    Cons

    * Horrible Results With Straight Glass Attached

    * No Cotton Included

    FINAL IMPRESSIONS

    I am a bit bummed that the straight glass didn't work out, it's probably the juice I used but a 70/30 mix should be no problem so I'm more inclined to think it just sits too close to the barrel camber. Thank goodness the bubble glass brought out the real performer in this atomizer. I have been using it for a little over a week and it hasn't skipped a beat, it works really well with great flavor using the provided coils it came with. I highly recommend the KYLIN 3 RTA to everyone even a novice, it's so easy to build on.

    I would like to thank Kavis and Sourcemore for sending not only the KYLIN 3 RTA but also the Drag X Plus by VOOPOO, I didn't review the Drag X Plus because I reviewed it some time back for VOOPOO but I will leave a link for the KYLIN 3 RTA as well as the Drag X Plus at Sourcemore. If you use the CODE VV3 it can be purchased for $23.29. I hope I answered all the questions you had about the KYLIN V3 RTA from Vandy Vape.

    THANK YOU

    Great review amigo.

    Looks like a solid tank,i did use the Mini as my main for a long time since well to be honest it was the only one i could wick without any problems hehe
    But thats me i suck at wicking,it is what it is,deck reminds me of the mini but much wider.

    Shame about the straight glass thou,looks wise i do love it,short and chunky just the way i love them tanks ;)
