At 6PM today (Midwest time), two Duluth City Council members will introduce ordinances (that are sponsored by drug industry funded ACS/AHA/ALA) to redefine smokefree e-cigarettes as "electronic smoking devices", and to ban their use and even possession where smoking is banned.

Today's Duluth City Council meeting agenda, and e-cig bills, are available at:
Duluth City Council Meeting Schedule
Bill 13-058 would ban the smoking of any "prohibited" substance wherever smoking is banned, and at additional locations

Bill 13-059 to falsely define smokefree e-cigarettes as “electronic smoking devices”, falsely redefines "smoking" as including the use (and even possession) of an e-cigarette at indoor and many outdoor locations.
Duluth City Council Meeting Schedule
Duluth bill 13-060 to ban the sale of “electronic smoking devices” to minors (even though selling e-cigs to minors has been banned by MN statute since 2010).

According to the confusing and apparently conflicting language of these bills, Duluth already enacted ordinances banning the use and possession of smokeless tobacco products wherever smoking is banned, including at many outdoor locations.
