Better than nothing. Actually, an honest retraction is very good, if it's displayed as prominently as the original.

They need to say and do a lot more than that, to undo the damage they've done. Yeah, better than nothing. Far from adequate.

And why didn't they mention the year, instead of implying it was this year? Maybe there was some other deceitful article like that this year, but I bet they would have stated the full date, including the year, if that were the case. In fact, they would be obligated to retract both.

Looks like you're right, that this tiny, almost invisible retraction, is of an article over two years old.

They should be made to reprint the original article with a new headline in large type saying This Article Is Full Of Lies......we are sorry.

Sounds like a CYA to me, aren't there several organizations talking lawsuits on some of the outright lying press releases?
