If you don't use adaptors is there any reason to have this done? If so please explain exactly what the benefits would be. Also how do you know if the carto or atty is not fitting right and how would you go about adjusting for it? Thanks.

Not all 510 accessories have the same positive pin depth. If you have a 510 that doesn't go in as far as another then an adjustment of the socket's pin will be necessary. You'll know you need to adjust the pin if your carto/atty doesn't fire.

To adjust the pin you would only need to use a small allen wrench to turn the pin in or out.
